I know it typically comes from Stephanie, and not all may want that name for their child these days. I am wondering if there is another formal name you could derive it from instead, just so the child has a choice some day, should they want to have a feminine name. I’ve always loved the name myself.

I like it!! think it fun and spunky!

I like it it has punch. I move [name_u]Stevie[/name_u] Catherine/Katherine and [name_u]Stevie[/name_u] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] on lost :bouquet::purple_heart:

my favourite name for a girl!! I absolutely adore it, I love the idea of a little stevie running around - definitely underappriciated!

I know a little [name_u]Stevie[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] and it’s super cute!

I like [name_u]Stevie[/name_u]! It’s sweet and spunky and a little unexpected to me.

I’ve always had it on my radar since [name_u]Brooklyn[/name_u] [name_m]Decker[/name_m] and [name_u]Andy[/name_u] Roddick named their daughter that. I found out later [name_u]Stevie[/name_u] was after Brooklyn’s dad!

Makes me think of [name_u]Stevie[/name_u] from Schitt’s [name_u]Creek[/name_u] - I love it!

i think it’s adorable, spunky, and fun! as previous posters have mentioned, it brings to mind stevie nicks and stevie budd from schitt’s creek, which are sweet associations! for a middle, i love something fun and spunky, like layne, reese, or opal! :tulip:

I really like it. It’s spunky and different but not unheard of bc [name_u]Stevie[/name_u] Nicks

So cute and charming!

I personally really like it and think it could work on its own without being a nickname for something, but it does sort of straddle the line for me between usable and sounding like it’s trying a little too hard to sound like a “rockstar name”, kind of like [name_u]Ziggy[/name_u] or [name_m]Axl[/name_m] or [name_u]Jagger[/name_u] (though plenty of people do use those so this is completely my opinion). I do think it’s leaning more towards usable, especially if it was short for something, though as I said I don’t think it’s unsubstantial on its own.

[name_u]Stevie[/name_u] used to be one of my most favorite girl names and I still adore her! She’s spunky, cool & very rockstar

Recognizable but not unheard of, and definitely under appreciated!

I absolutely adore the name [name_u]Stevie[/name_u], especially with the iconic [name_u]Stevie[/name_u] Nicks being associated with it. I have [name_u]Stevie[/name_u] Honeywell on my list

I knew an adult female named [name_u]Stevie[/name_u]. It suited her well. I think it will work on a new generation.

[name_f]Every[/name_f] adjective used to describe [name_u]Stevie[/name_u] suggests a cute little girl. It’s not a serious name, but it’s a great nickname.
[name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] is ok, but Steffany looks much more modern. If [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] can be [name_f]Sofia[/name_f], why can’t Steffany be updated?
[name_f]My[/name_f] choice woulld be to use [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] and call her [name_u]Stevie[/name_u]. [name_u]Sasha[/name_u] [name_m]Obama[/name_m] is actually [name_f]Natasha[/name_f]. Nicknames can be what ever you want.
