[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] I will always call [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], If for some reason we chose a [name_u]Nick[/name_u] name to use it would be [name_f]Tilly[/name_f] or [name_f]Millie[/name_f]. I dislike [name_u]Matty[/name_u].
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] over [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] 100%!!! Its such a great name!!
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] is lovely and you’d get to use both? But if you want to save [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] for again I’d do [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] or [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Cecily[/name_f].
I prefer [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]. I’d use it in a heartbeat if my dog wasn’t called [name_f]Tilly[/name_f], lol. It’s a lovely name. My top three are:
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] (best of both worlds)
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] is also very nice.
Both are very lovely names! Lately [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] has been growing on me.
If you can’t choose, maybe look at your last name and see if one fits better than the other? You’ll hear the first name + last name combo a lot more than the first name + middle name combo.
Does popularity bother you? [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] is in top #50, and it wouldn’t surprise me if it turns out to be a even more popular in 2015. [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is way down in top #600.
I think your [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] combos are a little long for my taste, but of your [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] combos I really like [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]
They’re both lovely names, but I have to go with [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]. My main concern for [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] is how fast it shot up in popularity, which may not be a concern to you. I feel that [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is a bit more classic and not as trendy currently.
I love both [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]
Biased opinion but of course I prefer [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]!
I really like [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Cecily[/name_f], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Olive[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]. My favourite would probably be sweet, clunky-quirky [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Olive[/name_f].
[name_m]How[/name_m] do you feel about [name_f]Tilda[/name_f] as a nickname? It’s about the only one I could’ve handled, but in the end I played it safe and stuck [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] in the middle. I didn’t want to end up with a [name_u]Mattie[/name_u] or a [name_f]Tillie[/name_f]!
My favorite would be [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] with the nickname [name_f]Tillie[/name_f]. Personally I prefer [name_f]Tillie[/name_f] and [name_f]Millie[/name_f] (stand-alone).
I like [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Olive[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] the best. [name_f]Tilly[/name_f] is a cute nn. I do love the name [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] but not the nn [name_u]Penny[/name_u]. I prefer [name_f]Nell[/name_f] or [name_f]Poppy[/name_f].
