I voted for [name]Charlotte[/name], though if you spelled [name]Katharine[/name], [name]Catherine[/name], I would have picked that. Also, I see [name]Georgiana[/name] in your signature, and I like that the most. Tough decision! I do not envy you!

To be honest, I think that most of those names would not be “unexpected”. I love most of the names on there though! I just want you to realize how popular some of them are - especially [name]Charlotte[/name].

I prefer [name]Eve[/name] to [name]Eva[/name] because [name]Eva[/name] has two pronunciations and it’s sometimes a hassle to keep correcting people. [name]Eve[/name] seems more timeless to me anyway.

[name]Alison[/name] is the only one that doesn’t actually feel very classic to me - I actually tie it to a more modern era. Maybe even starting to get a bit dated.

I voted for [name]Adele[/name] because it’s one of the ones I love, and I think it’s the most unexpected, but I’m sure the singer will have it on the rise. [name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Anna[/name] would tie for second in terms of ones I really like, but I wouldn’t say they’re “unexpected”.

I voted for [name]Eve[/name], it’s quickly becoming a new favorite of mine  I think [name]Eva[/name] is equally as pretty and might sound better with your last name? [name]Anna[/name] would be my second choice, good luck deciding!

Those are all pretty names. It was hard to choose! I understand your dilemma!
My vote was for [name]Adele[/name], since I prefer names that are not too common. I fear that [name]Adele[/name] will rise in popularity due to the famous singer though.
I also have always loved nn [name]Kate[/name] and [name]Catherine[/name]/[name]Katherine[/name]. It’s a classic and bound to increase in popularity even more due to wife of [name]Prince[/name] [name]William[/name]. It isn’t boring at all, but common, yes.
I adore nn [name]Lottie[/name] for [name]Charlotte[/name] over the boyish [name]Charlie[/name]! Yay! I have a soft spot for old-fashioned names and nicknames.
I prefer [name]Eve[/name] over [name]Eva[/name], but I’m not sure why…
I love nn [name]Annie[/name], but I’m not that fond of [name]Anna[/name]. I really like [name]Annemarie[/name]. [name]Ana[/name] is pretty. [name]Ah[/name]-na vs [name]Ann[/name]-ah
My niece’s name is [name]Allison[/name] nn [name]Allie[/name]. She’s 9. I do not think it is a boring name, but I do think that there are a lot of little girls named [name]Allie[/name] out there. I also have a cousin who named her daughter [name]Ally[/name], just [name]Ally[/name], it isn’t short for anything, and a friend from high school named one of her daughters [name]Alicia[/name] nn [name]Ali[/name]. So, the name was quite popular a few years back…maybe not so much now.
Oh, and by the way, [name]Beatrice[/name] is adorable! It’s in your signature. [name]Adele[/name] and [name]Beatrice[/name] are definitely my picks from your favorites!
I hope that helps!

I love all the names on your list and see why your are stuck! (several of them are in my signature).

Most of them are top 100 names ([name]Alison[/name] is not, but the spelling [name]Allison[/name] is). and could not be called unexpected. Popularity does not bother me, however. [name]Adele[/name] is the most unexpected (and that’s why I voted for it) but it may not remain that way - [name]Ad[/name]- names are getting more popular and the singer has brought [name]Adele[/name] to people’s attention.

I do not find [name]Katherine[/name] or [name]Alison[/name] to be boring although I would not be surprised to meet a baby called one of these names. [name]Alison[/name] seems like a modern name but actually (in that spelling) goes back to the Middle Ages. It seems modern because it was rarely used for hundreds of years and then became known in the 20th c. and got very popular, It’s classic enough for me.

[name]Adele[/name] - love! Would be on my list.
[name]Katharine[/name] ([name]Kate[/name]) - I love [name]Katharine[/name] (with any of the common spellings) and [name]Kate[/name]. Never goes out of style.
[name]Charlotte[/name] ([name]Lottie[/name]) - I like [name]Charlotte[/name] very much, not quite as much as the other names on your list.
[name]Eva[/name] / [name]Eve[/name] - I slightly prefer [name]Eva[/name], but they are both great.
[name]Alison[/name] - love it
[name]Anna[/name] - one of my favorite names of all time. It’s popular, but getting a bit less so according to the stats.

My DD is [name]Adele[/name], named after my great-grandma, my mom, and my middle name. She was born one month before [name]Adele[/name], the singer, came out with her album 21. Although I love the singer, oh, I want to curse her! I’m obviously partial to that name, but I don’t want it to become popular and recommend [name]Anna[/name] because every person always asks, “Oh, is she named after the singer?” Rrrrr…

I voted for [name]Charlotte[/name], although I think all the names are lovely. I’m not a huge fan of [name]Alison[/name] or [name]Katharine[/name] though.

I love [name]Katherine[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name], and [name]Eve[/name]- they are such pretty, classic name. It’s so hard to choose! [name]Katherine[/name] is a strong name and I love the nn [name]Kate[/name]. [name]Charlotte[/name] is very feminine, and [name]Lottie[/name] is a lovely nickname. And [name]Eve[/name] is a little fresher and more uncommon, but still sweet and beautiful.

I love [name]Anna[/name] and [name]Alison[/name].

[name]Love[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name], especially with the nickanem [name]Lottie[/name]. Reminds me of [name]Princess[/name] and the Frog

Wow, tough decision!

I voted for [name]Katharine[/name], but I prefer it [name]Katherine[/name] or [name]Catherine[/name]. I love how you can get so many nicknames out of it!

[name]Charlotte[/name] is super pretty; and I’m a part of the “[name]Lottie[/name] over [name]Charlie[/name]” club. I think [name]Lottie[/name] is adorable!

[name]Eve[/name] is pretty and underused in my opinion, and I really like [name]Evie[/name] as a nickname.

[name]Adele[/name] is alright, it’s probably my least favorite of the list (but, its still a great name!). I think its a really strong feminine name.

[name]Alison[/name] is nice; I prefer it [name]Allison[/name]. I love [name]Ally[/name] as a nickname. However, I wouldn’t be surprised to see this on a newborn.

Aww! Thank you for your feedback. It’s lovely that there were Adeles in your family history. I think (hopefully) that the singer association will fade with time. Thanks again for your feedback!

[QUOTE=tay2thestars;1473911]Wow, tough decision!

I know, right? So hard! So many pretty names, so few babies. :frowning:
Plus, this may be my last baby, so the decision is extra hard and quite bittersweet for me. I don’t want to leave any of the names behind.

I love [name]Adele[/name] so voted for that and tbh never even thought of the singer until some mentioned her. I babysat for an [name]Adele[/name] when I was young and she was a really sweet little girl and I’ve loved the name ever since.

[name]Charlotte[/name] is so sweet too, if popular and I love [name]Lottie[/name] or [name]Lotta[/name] as nns
[name]Katherine[/name] and [name]Anna[/name] are classically beautiful and I like [name]Katie[/name] as a nn
Not as keen on [name]Alison[/name] though [name]Allie[/name] is sweet.
Think my 2nd fave on your list is [name]Eva[/name]/[name]Eve[/name]. Possibly [name]Eve[/name] and [name]Adele[/name] would be the most ‘interesting’ and unexpected out of your list

I think [name]Charlotte[/name] is going to climb. I am wondering if anybody finds [name]Eve[/name] too biblical? Any more so than [name]Hannah[/name], [name]Elizabeth[/name] or [name]Ruth[/name], for example?

I love [name]Katharine[/name], and like your spelling. I like it best with you one syll ln.

I like all these names, but [name]Eve[/name] and [name]Eva[/name] stand out as all-time favorites of mine. I like the names in this order:

[name]Eve[/name]
[name]Eva[/name]
[name]Adele[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Katharine[/name]
[name]Anna[/name]
[name]Alison[/name]

I love [name]Eve[/name] and [name]Eva[/name]. I was thinking I preferred [name]Eve[/name], until I saw that your surname is one syllable. With that, definitely [name]Eva[/name].

I find [name]Katharine[/name] refreshing, [name]Alison[/name] less so.

I like [name]Katharine[/name] [name]Jane[/name], or [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Maeve[/name].
