still no girls name.....

If this baby is a girl child she will be nameless at this rate… 10 days til DD
We had settled on [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] and now we have done an about term. Im concerned it will date and now it suddenly sounds funny in my mouth oorrr tum.
DH has vetoed quite a few of my long term loves.
He quite likes [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f], I want [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] or [name_u]Silver[/name_u]. He loves [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], I like it but dont feel its the one.
We both like [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] - but do we like it enough?
[name_m]Will[/name_m] I regret changing my mind on [name_f]Autumn[/name_f]?
WHERE is the perfect name, where oh where?
Any advice hugely appreciated x

Since he likes [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] and you like [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], would a compromise of [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] with nn [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] work?

It could, but I would want to announce her as [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]. So much more chic!

I think [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] and [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] are lovely, I know it’s so easy to question yourself but you liked them originally for a reason.

[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] is beautiful.

If you want more suggestions…
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Maren[/name_f]
[name_f]Celia[/name_f]
[name_f]Mercy[/name_f]
[name_f]Laurel[/name_f]
[name_f]Amity[/name_f]
[name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_f]Stella[/name_f]
[name_f]Katie[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsa[/name_f]
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]
[name_f]Theresa[/name_f]

[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] sounds like a little old lady to me, but [name_u]Silver[/name_u] sounds fresh and bright. I also love [name_f]Audra[/name_f], [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f].

I’m not a fan of [name_u]Silver[/name_u] (sorry). Among other things, silver is often associated with grey in that a man with [name_u]Silver[/name_u] hair is a man with grey hair.

I think [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] is my favorite of your choices. Some people have said when they seen the baby, they know what suits the baby. I think keep both [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] and [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] on a short list and decide what you feel. You don’t have to decide today. Good [name_m]Luck[/name_m]!

[name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] would be lovely! I like all three of your choices, actually! My personal favorite is [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] because of all the cute nn options - [name_f]Tibby[/name_f], [name_f]Tabby[/name_f], Bitsy, Bitta, etc…Also, it’s a name everyone is familiar with but I don’t know any in real life! (Aside from SJP’s little girl in the papers). [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] [name_u]Silver[/name_u] would be cute, too. [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] seems like an up-and-coming name in the popularity department, imo. Meaning, in twenty years there will be lots of young lady [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]'s walking around (just my guess). [name_m]Even[/name_m] so, I still think it’s a sweet yet spunky name that would be a great choice (although I never was a fan of [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] for some reason…weird, eh?). Anyway - good luck!

I have only ever known one [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] and she is in her twenties now, I don’t think it will date at all. Her middle name is [name_f]Eve[/name_f]. I think that combo is beautiful.

I love the name [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] with the nn [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]. To me it is the underused sister of the mega-popular [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]/ie

[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] __________ (insert your last name) Does that roll of the tongue?

All your names are great, I would wait until you meet the little one and then you’ll know!

Edited for privacy.

I really dislike [name_f]Autumn[/name_f]. I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] both!

Hmm…
To be honest I think your having last minute name jitters. [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] has been around since the 1960’s. It’s a lovely name, conjures gorgeous images of autumn; the colours, the atmosphere, nature, and the changing scenery which looks so vibrant. [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] is just lovely. Cooler then [name_f]Summer[/name_f], friendlier then [name_u]Winter[/name_u]. I really think that you should stick with the name you have loved throughout your pregnancy.

Concerning your other choices I really like [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f], she’s elegant and has a crisp sound which is lovely. I prefer [name_f]Silvia[/name_f] spelling wise which I feel is classier and also captures the [name_u]Silver[/name_u]/[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] feeling which you desire. I think the likes of [name_u]Silver[/name_u]/[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] work as nicknames to be honest. Have you thought of [name_f]Sylvana[/name_f]?

[name_f]Daphne[/name_f] isn’t my thing!!

I like [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f], she’s wholesome and quirky. I also like the [name_f]Tabby[/name_f] nickname. [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] is lovely.

Despite me saying happy thoughts on [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] I do feel that you’ve jumped onto these names because of your last minute jitters on [name_f]Autumn[/name_f]. I would just go with [name_f]Autumn[/name_f]!!

I agree [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] would be perfect for you - meaning, sound and flow are great together!!!
And if for some reason the [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] nn does not stick she could always go by her mn somewhere down the line.
