Aww I thought you were all set on [name]Giselle[/name]! It’s so hard isn’t it. I keep looking and there’s so many names I love but few of those that my husband will considerso mostly I am just thinking I’m lucky he ended up liking [name]Thea[/name] lol we’ll see how it goes anyway!
I still like [name]Giselle[/name], but also like [name]Katya[/name]/[name]Katja[/name]
[name]Laina[/name] is quite pretty too, and [name]Eleni[/name] is different, though think I would pronounce differently - do you like [name]Elena[/name] at all?
I really love [name]Eleni[/name], I have a friend with this name, pronounced the way you prefer. I like the way it introduces the soft “e” into the sibset, which follows suit with the soft “a” of Sassy and the soft “i” of [name]Milly[/name]; I also really like the way that the double consonant “nn” is different than “ss” or “ll”, again introducing a different element yet following suit. Second choice for me would be the [name]Lydia[/name]/Liddy option, also very elegant…(I’m in the [name]Katya[/name]/[name]Kitty[/name] camp from the original names, but I think you’re onto something with the new ones).
[name]Giselle[/name] is probably still my fav but just tossing around a few new ideas. I’ve always liked [name]Lenny[/name] but don’t like [name]Elena[/name] that much as pronunciation is an issue. Interesting that you would say [name]Eleni[/name] differently.
Can’t believe that I just can’t stop looking - must make a decision soon!
Absolutely adore [name]Eleni[/name]! [name]Eleni[/name] nn [name]Leni[/name] has been on my list for forever. I think [name]Eleni[/name] nn [name]Lenny[/name] fits with [name]Saskia[/name] and [name]Milla[/name] perfectly! I think [name]Eleni[/name] [name]Wren[/name] or [name]Eleni[/name] [name]Fleur[/name] would be adorable.
You know, with all of your looking for new names, I’m stuck on the original…even though I’m not terribly fond of the name myself, I’m all for [name]Giselle[/name] ‘[name]Gigi[/name]’!!
[name]Saskia[/name], [name]Milla[/name] and [name]Giselle[/name]
Oh dear, now I thinking about [name]Tessa[/name] nn [name]Tessy[/name], even though a friend has a [name]Tessa[/name] and another friend has a [name]Tess[/name]. it is SOOOOO lovely and meets my criteria perfectly.
[name]Tessa[/name] is lovely too…how about [name]Tressa[/name]? I saw that suggested on another thread and it means ‘third’ which is kind of lovely, nn [name]Tessy[/name] or [name]Essy[/name] would be really sweet
All these fit the shortish name, ‘a’ ending, nn with double letter/y ending:
[name]Saskia[/name], [name]Milla[/name] and [name]Elena[/name] -[name]Lenny[/name]
[name]Saskia[/name], [name]Milla[/name] and [name]Alessa[/name] -Lessy
[name]Saskia[/name], [name]Milla[/name] and [name]Alyssa[/name] -Lissy
[name]Saskia[/name], [name]Milla[/name] and [name]Thalia[/name] -[name]Tally[/name]
[name]Saskia[/name], [name]Milla[/name] and [name]Portia[/name] -[name]Polly[/name]
[name]Saskia[/name], [name]Milla[/name] and [name]Calista[/name] -[name]Cally[/name] (this one is particularly cute!)
I read the [name]Tressa[/name] suggestion too, but prefer [name]Tessa[/name]. emiliaj - I like some of your suggestions but not sure if I [name]LOVE[/name] them. [name]Don[/name]'t like the nn [name]Al[/name] so I always shy away from names like [name]Alyssa[/name] and [name]Alessa[/name] as I’m scared those names might end up being shortened in that way. My girls have cousins who have a cousin on the other side called [name]Elena[/name] so that is out. I think I like [name]Thalia[/name] but not sure how it’s supposed to be pronounced exactly - is it like, Tar lia? I have always like [name]Tully[/name] as nn more than [name]Tally[/name] though. Would [name]Thalia[/name] nn [name]Tully[/name] be too much of a stetch?
I pronounce [name]Thalia[/name] as tah-lee-ah/tar-lia, [name]Tully[/name] would work ok a nn too…[name]Tilly[/name] might aswell?
I’m thankful that with our dd1 [name]Alyssa[/name] that the nn [name]Lyssa[/name] was much more natural to say than [name]Ally[/name] (and I did try that out once or twice when she was tiny) it didn’t suit her name really, has always been better, quicker and has a more natural flow to call her [name]Lyssa[/name] or [name]Lys[/name] - sometimes Lissy. I don’t think anyone else has ever tried to call her [name]Ally[/name]…which is strange now that I think about it - but good haha!
[name]Tahlia[/name], [name]Talia[/name] and [name]Thalia[/name] are all recognised spellings.
Tar- lee-ah [name]Tully[/name] is definately a nn option.
The a-“ah” sounds in Thalia go well with the Saskia and Milla
Personally, I love the [name]Tahlia[/name] spelling, but I know the nameberry favourite is [name]Thalia[/name].
