I just want to vote for [name_m]Rupert[/name_m]. It’s so beautiful, it’s special to you, the kids love it already.
[name_m]Simon[/name_m] is fine, but [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] is perfect!

[name_m]Simon[/name_m] is fine, but [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] is perfect!
I love [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] for its significance and the sound! [name_m]Even[/name_m] though it’s uncommon in the US its still very well known. Its nice and I think he would really enjoy having an easy but distinctive name. [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] [name_m]Simon[/name_m] or [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] [name_u]Eli[/name_u] would be lovely!
[name_m]Rupert[/name_m] [name_m]Simon[/name_m]
It sounds like [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] is a special name to pass on for you! I would put it in the middle spot because of your husband’s concerns, the style of your sons’ names, and a sense that you don’t love it quite as much for a first name. The middle spot is also a great place for an honor!
[name_m]Simon[/name_m] is also a gorgeous name (my very favorite name) that goes well with his brothers! That would be my choice for a first name.
[name_f]Do[/name_f] [name_m]Joel[/name_m] and [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] have middle names? If so, do they have one or two? If they have two, I would vote for [name_m]Simon[/name_m] [name_u]Eli[/name_u] [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] or [name_m]Simon[/name_m] [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] [name_u]Eli[/name_u].
However, overall, I would go with [name_m]Simon[/name_m] [name_m]Rupert[/name_m]! [name_u]Eli[/name_u] is nice, but he would already have his father’s surname and it doesn’t sound like you’re quite as set on it. [name_m]Simon[/name_m] [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] seems to be the perfect name for you!
Honestly naming is so hard!
I think [name_m]Simon[/name_m] works stylistically the best with [name_m]Joel[/name_m] & [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] however I feel that [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] definitely needs to be used as your very attached to this name. If I was you I would have two middle names and ensure that both DH & yourself are honoured. [name_m]Simon[/name_m] [name_u]Eli[/name_u] [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] would be lovely and it means that your family name is carried down.
Good luck
I love the name [name_m]Rupert[/name_m], and it has a really special association for you, so it would definitely by my choice. All of the names of Rupert’s peak era are back on trend, and I doubt it will be made fun of. [name_m]Joel[/name_m] and Rupert/Jonah and [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] sound great together. [name_m]Joel[/name_m], [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] and ______ I would assume another J name, but be happily surprised if you told me their brother was [name_m]Rupert[/name_m], so I say go for it. [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] [name_u]Eli[/name_u] is an amazing combo and [name_u]Eli[/name_u] ties in better with both [name_m]Joel[/name_m] and [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] for me.
I like [name_m]Simon[/name_m] or [name_m]Rupert[/name_m], you really can’t go wrong! But whatever you do, I agree with previous posters that [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] needs to be included in the name somewhere.
[name_m]Joel[/name_m] and [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] both have 1 middle name.
[name_m]Joel[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m] (David is a family name)
[name_u]Jonah[/name_u] [name_m]Richard[/name_m] (Richard is a family name)
I think [name_m]Simon[/name_m] [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] would fit very nicely!
[name_m]Rupert[/name_m] [name_m]Simon[/name_m] gets my vote !
[name_m]Simon[/name_m] [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] gets my vote!
I love [name_m]Simon[/name_m] [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] [name_u]Eli[/name_u]
[name_m]Rupert[/name_m] [name_m]Simon[/name_m] I think
