Still "vintage"?

The following “vintage” names reentered the top 100 over 20-30 years ago:

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]

[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Emma[/name_f]

[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Lillian[/name_f]

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think they still count as “vintage”? When do you think a name loses its vintage vibe?

[name_f]Lillian[/name_f], [name_f]Evelyn[/name_f], and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] give me vintage vibes. [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Grace[/name_f] are classics in my book, annd [name_f]Ella[/name_f] is sort of a modern classic?

[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] for sure still give me vintage vibes, [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] especially! [name_f][/name_f] [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Grace[/name_f], I agree, feel like classics. [name_f][/name_f] [name_f]Evelyn[/name_f], too, I would probably label a classic [name_f][/name_f]- I know several people of all ages with this name so it doesn’t really feel vintage or modern to me?

[name_f]Ella[/name_f] I’m not sure how to label it, because of [name_f]Ella[/name_f] Enchanted, it feels more fairytale to me? [name_f][/name_f] Although I can see the vintage appeal, it also feels modern? [name_f][/name_f] So I would probably not label that as vintage anymore, but [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], definitely! [name_f][/name_f] And maybe [name_f]Evelyn[/name_f], [name_f]Grace[/name_f], and [name_f]Emma[/name_f], though those all feel like timeless classics to me.

I think of these as classics rather than vintage personally!

For me none of these would be considered vintage, once they become commonly used again they lose their vintage feel.

Some of these feel more ‘modern classics’ (Ella) or ‘timeless’ (Emma, Grace) than vintage, while others (Audrey, [name_f]Evelyn[/name_f], Lillian) still feel vintage? I think it’s down to usage / associations too [name_f][/name_f]- [name_f]Ella[/name_f] feels best associated with more contemporary figures, while [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Grace[/name_f] have classic, literary vibes. [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], [name_f]Evelyn[/name_f], and [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] give ‘old hollywood’, early 20th century literature etc. to me, and therefore feel[name_f][/name_f] vintage still?? Not sure if this makes any sense.

I wouldn’t consider any of these names “vintage” anymore.
