So I was talking with hubby, right here at the table as he was looking at some things on his computer, when voila! he turns to me and says, remember how we had talked about [name]Beatrix[/name]??? So he says, what if we incorporated it with [name]Olivia[/name] [name]Jane[/name]? and put [name]Olivia[/name]-[name]Jane[/name] with a hyphen?
Now, I know with NB’s the hyphen gets mixed reviews, but we do have other girls with a hyphen, and with [name]Olivia[/name]'s popularity…putting a hyphen makes the name not just [name]Olivia[/name], but [name]Olivia[/name]-[name]Jane[/name].
Earlier this morning during my devotions, this passage came up… So beautiful, so fitting; and I thought I could incorporate it on her birth announcements, along with the meaning of her name:
[name]Olivia[/name] (Latin. from the [name]Olive[/name] Tree) ~ But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God’s unfailing love forever and ever. ~ Psalm 52:8
[name]Jane[/name] (English)~ “God’s gracious gift”
[name]Beatrix[/name] (Latin)~ “blessed; she who brings happiness”
O.K. the small issue, or maybe big… her initials would be [name]OBE[/name] … is that o.k.??? Give it to me straight!!! Thoughts???
I am sad to let [name]Susannah[/name] go, especially with [name]Pam[/name] and so many others weighing in on how wonderful she is! But, being able to put my beloved [name]Beatrix[/name] anywhere in the name, almost makes up for it!! This could be the perfect compromise!
I think [name]Olivia[/name]-[name]Jane[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name] is absolutely gorgeous and sounds like a wonderful compromise :). I don’t usually like hypenated names very much but I must admit that I like [name]Olivia[/name]-[name]Jane[/name] :).
I wouldn’t worry about the initials at all.
I’m so happy that you and your husband have made a choice you’re both happy with, and it is a beautiful name, congratulations!
[name]Olivia[/name]-[name]Jane[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name] is perfect! The meaning is so great, and the association to that Bible text is just wonderful. I think it works wonderfully with all your other children!
I’m glad you and your husband have found a beautiful name for your baby. I think [name]Olivia[/name]-[name]Jane[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name] is lovely. The [name]OBE[/name] initials - Order of the British Empire - are no big deal! I’ve been praying for you because I know you were worried about your health and your baby’s. I’m sure everything will be fine.
This is a very pretty name and I think it fits with your other childrens’ names better than any of your [name]Susannah[/name] combos. And I am with you, getting to use [name]Beatrix[/name] makes up for a whole lot! The scripture is very appropriate. [name]How[/name] special for your new little gal!
I love it! [name]Olivia[/name]-[name]Jane[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name] is just perfect for your little one, and for your family! And I love the meaning.
I think it’s pretty. My 3rd daughter’s name is [name]Jane[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name] so I’m obviously a fan of the [name]Jane[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name]/[name]Beatrix[/name] combination.
I love the meanings! I think [name]Livy[/name] [name]Jane[/name] may be the name for you, [name]Danielle[/name]. Good pick! [name]Olivia[/name]-[name]Jane[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name] Estrada. [name]Lovely[/name].
[name]Olivia[/name]-[name]Jane[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name] is a lovely combo with a beautiful meaning. I think you have your name!! [name]Don[/name]'t worry maybe you will have a granddaughter [name]Susannah[/name]! Good [name]Luck[/name]
Thank you all so much for your kind words, your thoughts and prayers. I will still be around here, and will keep you all updated. I am excited about having a name!! Other names, pop in and out… hello, [name]Eloise[/name], I see you in there… and [name]Susannah[/name] you will be missed… LOL! , but I am resolved that is just part of being a name obsessed person =0) I could never use all the names I adore, and have to accept the fact that just b/c I adore them, doesn’t mean hubby does as well, and better to have both mommy and daddy happy and loving the name, than just one =0)
