Thanks to the people who commented on it, but I’d like more opinions without bumping my old thread.
So WDYT of [name_u]Storm[/name_u]?

I like unusual names so I don’t mind [name_u]Storm[/name_u]. People name their children other word names so why not [name_m]Stone[/name_m]? Its one syllable, strong and doesn’t sound too weird where it can’t be a name.
I put [name_u]Storm[/name_u] in the “Trying Too Hard To Be Cool” category of names. He would be in the company of [name_m]Rogue[/name_m], [name_u]Rebel[/name_u], Vice and [name_m]Maverick[/name_m]. They may sound “cool” but I wouldn’t want to take the chance that he may live up to his name and cause you grief as a parent. These types of names are almost like “self-fulfilling prophecies”. The expectation is practically right there in the name that anarchy and chaos are in his future. The name is best left to cartoon characters or a destructive terrier who digs up your flowerbed.
To clarify: I don’t think of it in terms of the negative verb, I usually put it with the nouns–and some storms are bad, but they’re all just natural things. Also, it’s a GP. I WOULD NEVER USE IT!
