@Victory55 i do really enjoy Thea. I just worry she’d get lost in a sea of Ellas and Emmas just because of the vowel heavy sound. What do you think? Do you feel like Thea stands out in a crowd?? I did know one years ago and at the time i truly thought the name was unique but now I’m not so sure.
I think it is distinct and lovely. [name_f]Althea[/name_f] is a modification that is also great if you are too worried about that, though (I would still give [name_f]Thea[/name_f] as a nn though)
Dawn is so awesome and i always over look her. Also loving Maude these days! Rachel and Hannah are perfectly cool and timeless. but they are so associated with my generation that I feel like it still would be a little bit off…just a little bit dated. Which is unfortunate.
Edith is one I could actually see using on a daughter but I’m in the same battle with Edith as Thea! Because it’s vowel heavy, would it get lost? Especially shortened to Edie? It’s a struggle because i really like these names
I’m glad you like [name_f]Dawn[/name_f] and [name_f]Maude[/name_f]! And I understand that [name_f]Rachel[/name_f] and [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] feel dated. [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] is very timeless to me but I do agree that [name_f]Rachel[/name_f], though a classic, feels a little dated right now. Though maybe that would make it fresh on a little baby? I also don’t think [name_f]Edith[/name_f] will get lost! The -th ending is pretty distinct and cool. [name_f]Edie[/name_f] is definitely more likely to blend in with other common names but [name_f]Edith[/name_f] in full stands out to me!
You have this style really well covered. There are a lot of great suggestions in this thread. I can only think of a few more. Most of these would be considered out of fashion but I know that doesn’t put you off.
I second [name_f]Gretel[/name_f], [name_f]Helen[/name_f], [name_f]Gretchen[/name_f], [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f], and [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] these would also be on my list but I want to avoid repeats.
