[name]Hi[/name] Berries.
I thought DH and I had a good list of girl’s names organised. Then suddenly, with only two weeks to go, DH has vetoed many names on our orginal list - says “they just don’t feel right” anymore (where did this come from?!).
The only thing we seem to agree on, is that the mn will honour my mum, [name]Yvonne[/name]. For the girl’s I have been concentrating on the variants of [name]Eva[/name], [name]Eve[/name] or [name]Evie[/name]. However, If we have a boy the mn will be her maiden name of Whiley. I was wondering since DH has actually agreed to the mn Whiley, could it be used on a girl as well? I know it is masculine, however, if it is balanced out with a girly first name, could it work? WDYT?
Here are the names that have somehow stayed on our list - [name]Cadence[/name] [name]Eve[/name], [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Eve[/name]/Whiley, [name]Scarlett[/name] [name]Eve[/name], and [name]Piper[/name]-[name]Eve[/name]. I have recently added Ethlinn (a modernisation of [name]Ethel[/name], which is a significant family name) [name]Eva[/name]/Whiley and [name]Elodie[/name] [name]Eva[/name]/Whiley, but have yet to get to run them by DH. I want to take a list to hospital, and see which name suits bub!
Lastly, what is the best spelling of [name]Emmeline[/name]? I want the prn of [name]Emma[/name]-line (rhymes with fine). I have seen [name]Emmaline[/name], [name]Emmeline[/name], [name]Emaline[/name] and [name]Emeline[/name]. Looking forward to hearing feedback and/or any suggestions. Thanks in advance for taking time to read this very long post.
