I love [name_f]Winnie[/name_f]! And I do think that it’s better for a nn. But there are so many lovely full names to choose from. [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] is my number one girl name ever, but I love it too much on its own to see [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] as a nn for it. So, aside from that, I like…
Anwen
Arwen
Branwen
Ceridwen
Elowen
Gwendolen
Morwenna
Meriwen-I’m not totally sure that this is a real name, though.
Wilhelmina
And if you spell it [name_f]Wynnie[/name_f], then I like [name_f]Eowyn[/name_f] & [name_u]Wynn[/name_u] too.
I LOVE [name_f]Winnie[/name_f]! (Admittedly I’m a little biased!) I collected a LOT of names that could be shortened to [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] when we were naming our daughter, most I think have been suggested already, but I’d suggest (consider any repeats as seconds…)
I considered [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] for a long time, and I was head over heels for Winnimere until I found out it’s a kind of cheese
Somebody suggested Winsol to me awhile ago, thought it was so beautiful.
Currently my favourites are probably [name_u]Wynn[/name_u], [name_f]Bronwyn[/name_f], and Winsol. However, I think [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] is most perfect all on its own <3
