Could I stretch the NN possibility for [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] to [name_f]Alice[/name_f]?
I understand that it is its own name and there are plenty of other amazing NN for [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] as well as being fantastic on it’s own. I was just wondering since [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is a short form of [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f].
I feel like they are two completely different names and calling her [name_f]Alice[/name_f] would be too far of a stretch. I mean know why you would think it could be a possible nn. [name_m]Both[/name_m] names mean “[name_m]Noble[/name_m],” but it’s just too far for me. If you end up calling her [name_f]Alice[/name_f], just name her that. [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is very beautiful on its own.
When I started reading your post, I thought it was too big a leap. However, after reading that you have two angel babies, I think you should do whatever makes you happy. Love and enjoy this baby - you deserve it.
Have you considered: Adelyce, Adelice, Adalyce, Adalice, or Adalia?
Have you thought about honoring your angels with little Adelaide’s middle name? If you like this idea, here are a few suggestions:
The only really natural nns for [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] are [name_f]Addie[/name_f] & Lady, in my opinion. [name_f]Alice[/name_f] doesn’t really work for me.
I quite like it! It is a bit of a stretch, but I don’t think it’s too far. It could work better depending on the middle name though, such as using [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], as [name_f]Alice[/name_f] would be like sampling parts of both the first and middle names.
