Strormy Middle for Morgana

I’ve been playing around with lots of things for my [name]Morgana[/name] combo, but nothing feels quite right. My head is getting cloudy, I can’t really spot a beautiful name anymore, so I’d love and appreciate some help with this, if you would be so kind. I only need one middle, as it will either be [name]Morgana[/name] [name]Zephyr[/name] _ or [name]Morgana[/name] _ [name]Zephyrine[/name]. I prefer the latter, [name]Zephyrine[/name] is so beautiful.

I picture [name]Morgana[/name] very much as waves crashing against cliffs, stormy weather; rainstorms and thunder and lightening, and then the calmness afterwards. Also dawn, which has to be the most magical time of day.

What I’ve been thinking this far is:
[name]Morgana[/name] [name]Eos[/name] [name]Zephyrine[/name] (sea circle/born of the sea-dawn-gentle breeze)
[name]Morgana[/name] [name]Zephyr[/name] [name]Vivienne[/name] (sea circle/born of the sea-gentle breeze-alive)
[name]Morgana[/name] [name]Tempest[/name] [name]Zephyrine[/name] (sea circle/born of the sea-storm-gentle breeze)

Thanks so much!

I like [name]Tempest[/name], suggestions:

[name]Morgana[/name] [name]Elysia[/name] [name]Zephyrine[/name]

Corentine means tempest or storm. [name]Morgana[/name] [name]Zephyr[/name] Corentine

[name]Tempest[/name] was the first thing that popped into my head

Haizea (wind)
[name]Anemone[/name] (wind)
Adva (small wave)
[name]Undine[/name] (wave)
Nimue (was the lady of the lake in arthurian legend)
Amaranth (immortal)
[name]Rue[/name] (notorious)

[name]Nyx[/name] (night)
[name]Fae[/name] (fairy)

I want to say that I love [name]Morgana[/name] [name]Zephyrine[/name]! I knew an older gentleman named [name]Zeferino[/name] who immigrated to [name]Canada[/name] (where I live) after WW2 and he was incredibly interesting and very kind and sweet. I have loved the name and its variants ever since.

[name]Morgana[/name] [name]Zephyrine[/name] [name]Dawn[/name]?
[name]Morgana[/name] [name]Zephyrine[/name] [name]Danika[/name]?

Thank you, this is helpful.

Clocktower, thanks for the link! I love [name]Elysia[/name], it would be lovely in the middle.

Kala_way, I like Lei it’s very sweet!

mclola, I had been thinking about Nimue, but I thought it would be weird with two big arthurian names for one person. ,Same with [name]Fay[/name] ([name]Morgana[/name] le [name]Fay[/name])I like [name]Undine[/name], [name]Anemone[/name] and [name]Nyx[/name]!

[name]Kitty[/name], thank you! I think they’re pretty great together. I love stories about people with names I love, especially when they belong to elderly gentlemen! Maybe [name]Dawn[/name] is the way to go, [name]Morgana[/name] [name]Zephyrine[/name] [name]Dawn[/name] has got something.

What about
Aello/Aella(whirlwind)
[name]Lana[/name]/ [name]Alania[/name] (calm water)
[name]Alba[/name] (dawn)
Fioralba /Rosealba (flower/ rose of dawn)
[name]Roxane[/name] (dawn)

Morgana Darya Zephyrine
Morgana Zephyr Nephele
Morgana Gaia Zephyrine
Morgana Klytie Zephyrine (Klytie was an ocean nymph in Greek myth)
Morgana Clelia Zephyrine
Morgana Astra Zephyrine

Lately i’m really liking Epipole, haven’t seen it around anywhere though and not sure if its what your looking for here, but just for fun.
As for ‘stormy’ I feel like [name]Titania[/name] or Aella sound good.
I love [name]Zephyrine[/name] !

First of all, I love, love, love [name]Morgana[/name] [name]Zephyrine[/name]!

To me, [name]Morgana[/name] [name]Zephyr[/name] [name]Ondine[/name]/[name]Undine[/name] strongly conveys the image you are describing. However, as [name]Zephyrine[/name] sounds a bit like a smoosh between [name]Zephyr[/name] and [name]Ondine[/name], it may be more “economical” to use [name]Zephyrine[/name] with another middle.

I thought of the name [name]Vila[/name], which refers to the slavic fairies who control storms, but I’m not sold on [name]Morgana[/name] [name]Zephyrine[/name] [name]Vila[/name]. I do really like [name]Morgana[/name] [name]Eos[/name] Zephryine or [name]Morgana[/name] Zephryine [name]Aurore[/name], which would both get you that imagery of dawn.

[name]Morgana[/name] [name]Iris[/name] [name]Zephyrine[/name] ([name]Iris[/name] means rainbow, yeah? Goes for the idea of the dawn after the storm, then a lovely wind sweeping through)
[name]Morgana[/name] [name]Prosper[/name] [name]Zephyrine[/name] ([name]Prosper[/name] as in a more femininised [name]Prospero[/name] for the [name]Tempest[/name])
[name]Morgana[/name] [name]Oceane[/name] [name]Zephyrine[/name]

[name]Morgana[/name] [name]Zephyr[/name] [name]Nephele[/name] ([name]Nephele[/name] means…cloudy? So kind of works.)
[name]Morgana[/name] [name]Zephyr[/name] [name]Calypso[/name] (sea nymph/sprite)

I love [name]Morgana[/name] [name]Tempest[/name] [name]Zephyrine[/name]! I also prefer [name]Zephyrine[/name] to [name]Zephyr[/name]. I also like the suggestions of [name]Morgana[/name] [name]Elysia[/name] [name]Zephyrine[/name], [name]Morgana[/name] [name]Zephyrine[/name] [name]Aurore[/name] and [name]Morgana[/name] [name]Zephyrine[/name] [name]Dawn[/name]. Some random suggestions:

[name]Morgana[/name] [name]Zephyr[/name] [name]Anemone[/name] (In Greek mythology, [name]Anemone[/name] was a nymph who was turned into a windflower - I feel like it evokes imagery of the sea)
[name]Morgana[/name] [name]Calypso[/name] [name]Zephyrine[/name]
[name]Morgana[/name] [name]Zephyrine[/name] [name]Maris[/name]
[name]Morgana[/name] [name]Zephyrine[/name] [name]Thora[/name] (thunder - also sounds more “normal” which I remember you saying your boyfriend wanted)
[name]Morgana[/name] [name]Zephyr[/name] [name]Roxana[/name]
[name]Morgana[/name] [name]Zephyrine[/name] [name]Ariel[/name]
[name]Morgana[/name] [name]Zephyr[/name] [name]Ondine[/name]
[name]Morgana[/name] [name]Zephyr[/name] [name]Melusine[/name]
[name]Morgana[/name] [name]Waverly[/name] [name]Zephyrine[/name]

So there’s a little bit more to think about! But your names are always so beautiful; I know you will get it right!

Hooray, another one! I don’t know what I’m going to do when you actually name your child and this is all over…go into creative name withdrawal, I’m sure!

I love the new imagery, so evocative and powerful. [name]Morgana[/name] [name]Tempest[/name] [name]Zephyrine[/name] takes my breath away every time I look at it! I almost want to say it’s the one already… veto points to [name]Morgana[/name] [name]Zephyr[/name] [name]Vivienne[/name]. I too prefer [name]Zephyrine[/name] to [name]Zephyr[/name], and it’s a little [name]Arthur[/name] heavy, especially if you’ve read Mists of [name]Avalon[/name].

some more stormy choices…sorry these aren’t in any kind of order

You are all wonderful! Thanks for all the reassurance regarding Zephyrine, it’s great to hear that people like it, especially with Morgana.

Rosey, I really like Aurore, Alba and Aello/Aella. They’re all beautiful, and I think they fit in nicely!

Namelover, I love Klytie and Nephele. Morgana Nephele Zephyrine sounds lovely to my ears.

Niamh, Epipole is cool! And I really like Aella, it’s so pretty.

raptreverie, Thank you for the triple love! Vila is gorgeous, Morgana Vila Zephyrine? I like the Eos and Aurore ones too, it’s good to get some positive feedback.

cosmo, I do like Iris, it sounds beautiful in the middle there. Boyfriend is back and forth on Iris though, he vetoed it some months ago because of a girl he once knew, then he remembered her name was Erin not Iris so it was kind of back on the table, but now he’s not sure. Such an idiot. I love Calypso, but seeing as Morgana is a witch name (and some think a bit questionable) I don’t want to add another half baddie mythological character to her name.

Lily, Maris! Oh my, I had forgotten about this name. It’s so beautiful, definitely a favourite! Thank you! I also love Waverly, it makes me so happy (also would be nice to add a more cute name amongst the seriousness of Morgana and Zephyrine). I do love Roxana as well, but a bit repetitive with two -ana endings.

Sessha, oooh so many good ones! As you might already know, most of these are too much for boyfriend, but I love them!! You’re a star! Approved by boyfriend: Canace, Amaya, Liluye, Layali and Talora. I’m glad you like Morgana Tempest Zephyrine. It feels very powerful and strong minded.

We also like Maia (one of the Pleiades), Liriope (a naiad) and Olwen (I know this has nothing to do with the sea or water at all, but it would calm down the name and add a certain amount of gentleness. It means white foot prints and belonged to a woman in Welsh mythology who was so gentle, lilies grew wherever she went).

[name]Solana[/name]. it means eastern wind. [name]Morgana[/name] [name]Solana[/name].

[name]Just[/name] wanted to say that I love Liriope! [name]Morgana[/name] Liriope [name]Zephyrine[/name] would be beautiful! [name]Maia[/name] is very pretty but I think it might be too similar to [name]Morgana[/name]. [name]Olwen[/name] would work well too - [name]Morgana[/name] [name]Olwen[/name] [name]Zephyrine[/name].

Thanks, lily! We’re having a little think now. If anyone else has suggestions or opinions, they are appreciated!

I will say I like Corentine even more than [name]Zephyrine[/name]. It’s [name]Breton[/name] for hurricane and has such a close connection with [name]Morgana[/name], both in the Celtic origins and in the imagery. [name]Morgana[/name] Corentine [name]Maris[/name] would be my favorite.

Thanks, we’re not huge Corentine fans over here (meaning myself and beau). I feel like I need a sweet name with [name]Morgana[/name] and [name]Zephyrine[/name]. [name]Dawn[/name], [name]Eos[/name], [name]Stella[/name], [name]Yvaine[/name], [name]Waverly[/name], [name]Phoebe[/name], [name]Lune[/name], something less dominating.

[name]Morgana[/name] [name]Waverly[/name] [name]Zephyrine[/name] is dreamy and oceanic, like the dewy breeze right after a storm has thundered its way back out to sea. I’m usually not a [name]Waverly[/name] fan because of the Disney show, but in this case it works

[name]Morgana[/name] [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Zephyrine[/name] is lovely, sweet with the right amount of punch. I’m liking the repeated ph sounds and the harkening back to Belphoebe. It’s also a very witchy combo when you take [name]Phoebe[/name] Halliwell of Charmed into account, but I think that’s great because she softens [name]Morgana[/name] and gives her some earthy green witch to counteract the brooding sorceress associations.

[name]Morgana[/name] [name]Lune[/name] [name]Zephyrine[/name]…while I adore the moon imagery, [name]Lune[/name] has the unfortunate homonym of loon. [name]Luna[/name]? Lunaria? [name]Lunette[/name]/[name]Lunetta[/name]? [name]Luneth[/name]? Hm…

[name]Morgana[/name] [name]Yvaine[/name] [name]Zephyrine[/name]… the flow is a little awkward, but the imagery is stunning. Oceans, stardust, and breezes…does it get more magical than that?

If you decide you want powerful over soft, I think [name]Morgana[/name] [name]Tempest[/name] [name]Zephyrine[/name] simply cannot be beat. But I do like the idea of lightening her up…I’ll think of some airy, soft, sweet middles and be back!
