I have two kids ([name_u]Bradley[/name_u] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]) and am pregnant with our third. I’d like a name that goes with my first two. Our last name is one that starts with vander-, so we’re looking for something that sounds good with that as well.
[name_u]Bradley[/name_u] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] are both names that have (at least some) history as names, so that’s the kind of names that would go well with them. Also, it might be good to avoid other names that end with the -ee sound, because otherwise you create an unbreakable theme and it starts sounding a little too matchy. That leaves:
Of those, my favourites with [name_u]Bradley[/name_u] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] are [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] and [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]. [name_f]Anna[/name_f] shares an initial with [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and if that bothers you, you’d best avoid [name_f]Anna[/name_f].
I like a lot of the names on your list, but the ones I think complement the sibset best are:
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] (very pretty family name btw)
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]
[name_f]Elena[/name_f]
I agree with smartie about avoiding another -ee sound at the end, so that’s why I left out [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] and [name_f]Kaylie[/name_f], even though I like these names a lot. [name_f]Callie[/name_f] is cute as a nickname, in my eyes (somewhat applies to [name_f]Kaylie[/name_f], as well). I really like it, though.
I also really like [name_f]Savannah[/name_f], [name_u]Harper[/name_u], and [name_u]Piper[/name_u], but they just seemed mismatched with [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_u]Bradley[/name_u], unfortunately =[
Because both [name_u]Bradley[/name_u] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] both end in the -ee sound, I would stray away from another name that ends in that.
My favorites with [name_u]Bradley[/name_u] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] are:
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Callie[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_u]Bradley[/name_u] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] are both popular, but not chart-toppers. They both ooze 60s cool. And of course they sound very similar. So from that here are my thoughts.
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] (family name)-I love how this provides balance, and offers a ton of interesting nn options. Beware an [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]/[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] subset screams Hepburn for good and bad.
[name_u]Avery[/name_u]/[name_u]Payton[/name_u]-These are in the same general range in popularity, but they’re both gender neutral, something you’ve avoided with your other names.
[name_u]Sydney[/name_u]-Not nearly as trendy as the siblings, but very similar in sound, without sounding ridicullously rhymy. I love it.
[name_f]Kayla[/name_f]-Was a chart topper through the 80s and 90s. While it’s in your popularity range now, it sounds like a different generation.
[name_f]Kylie[/name_f]-Feels like a better sibset than [name_f]Kayla[/name_f]. But I’d avoid both of them, neither sounds like a great fit to me.
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]/[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]/[name_f]Savannah[/name_f]-Your southern triumvriatte offers some trendy choices, but ultimately seem like they don’t fit with your current names.
[name_u]Harper[/name_u]-This name is too trendy. It’s spiked recently so it’ll probably drop away. [name_u]Bradley[/name_u] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] both have stability, even if they sound fresh now.
That’s my thoughts. [name_u]Love[/name_u] the list as a whole definitely. I’d go with [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] or [name_u]Sydney[/name_u].
I think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] would fit the ends-in-y theme that you have with [name_u]Bradley[/name_u] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], whilst keeping the vintage/feminine feeling of [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]. I also love the idea of [name_f]Lydia[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Elena[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f], and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] with [name_u]Bradley[/name_u] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]. I also think [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] would be a great fit, if you’re accepting ideas. Also [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Margot[/name_f]/[name_f]Marguerite[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f], and [name_f]Fiona[/name_f].
[name_u]Bradley[/name_u], [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_u]Bradley[/name_u], [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], and [name_f]Elena[/name_f]
[name_u]Bradley[/name_u], [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], and [name_f]Lydia[/name_f]
[name_u]Bradley[/name_u], [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_u]Bradley[/name_u], [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], and [name_f]Anna[/name_f]
I also really like the combos [name_f]Elena[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] and [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]. Good luck!
My second choices would be [name_f]Anna[/name_f], [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] & [name_f]Lucy[/name_f].
I love [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] as a middle name with most of these! I would choose [name_f]Elena[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] – I love both!
Some people have mentioned staying away from another -ey sounding name, but [name_f]IMO[/name_f], having given them to the first two, I’d keep the theme with the third.
My favorites:
[name_u]Bradley[/name_u], [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_u]Bradley[/name_u], [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
The names are all distinctive enough that they don’t sound matchy to me, despite the shared -ey sounds.
These are such good names!
[name_u]Bradley[/name_u], [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and:
[name_u]Payton[/name_u]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]
[name_f]Savannah[/name_f]
[name_u]Harper[/name_u]
[name_f]Elena[/name_f]
[name_u]Piper[/name_u]
