Added a poll! Multiple choices allowed for a girl and boy name

I think [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] is perfect for you for a boy. Goes really nicely with your other children’s romantic, unusual names, but doesn’t feel too far “out there” or like overkill. For me, Tarcisius and Athanasius cross that line, while Camillus I think could work, but it doesn’t sit as naturally beside the others as [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m].

For a girl, [name_u]Damaris[/name_u] works wonderfully, especially alongside [name_f]Magdalen[/name_f] - both strong, Biblical women; both long but not frilly; both end in an unusual sound (for girls’ names, which almost always end in -a or the “ee” sound). I think [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] works beautifully as well, if you don’t mind going a bit softer and friller than [name_f]Magdalen[/name_f].

[name_f]Estelle[/name_f], [name_f]Viviana[/name_f], [name_f]Carmela[/name_f] and [name_f]Paulina[/name_f] feel a bit too ordinary/expected beside your other children’s names. [name_f]Zita[/name_f] is awesome and my personal favourite on your list, but it feels a bit too short and sparky beside the softer, more elaborate [name_f]Magdalen[/name_f] and [name_m]Isidore[/name_m]. [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f], [name_f]Imelda[/name_f] and especially [name_f]Perpetua[/name_f] feel like they’re trying a little bit too hard to me - sorry!

Best of luck

I loved for [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] for a boy and [name_f]Imelda[/name_f] for a girl. They are different but still familiar and cool and wouldn’t cause any teasing.

I voted for [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] and [name_u]Damaris[/name_u]: normally I’m not much for names that end in “s”, but that one’s hard to resist. I think both match well with your other kids; there’s a definite air of elegance (and history!) but also one of whimsy.

I voted for [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] and [name_f]Imelda[/name_f], although I really like [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] and [name_m]Clement[/name_m] from your list.
