I’m expecting twin girls and really struggling to come up with a pair of names that I love. I tend to like classic names. I want something classic but unusual but I am gravitating towards more common names this time around for some reason. I’m really open to ideas though. I want something that I love
Siblings are [name_u]Ryan[/name_u], [name_m]Richard[/name_m], [name_m]Daniel[/name_m], and [name_f]Leah[/name_f].
On our list is:
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] nn [name_f]Cara[/name_f] or [name_f]Carly[/name_f]
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Sara[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] nn [name_f]Amy[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f]
[name_f]Annelise[/name_f]
I like all the names, but my favourites are [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]. Luckily, I think this is an amazing paring for twins! [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] are both classics that have risen in popularity. They work with your sibset and compliment each other. [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] could have a nickname too ([name_f]Char[/name_f], [name_u]Charlie[/name_u], [name_f]Lottie[/name_f]) and then it would be great with [name_f]Amy[/name_f].
Congrats to you and welcome to Nameberry! From your list, [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] as well [name_f]Anna[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] would be lovely twin pairings. Without knowing your surname, here are some suggestions.
[name_f]Annabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecily[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f]
[name_f]Stella[/name_f] and [name_f]Georgia[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]My[/name_f] name is [name_f]Amy[/name_f]! It always makes me happy when I see someone is considering it and though I am not an [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], I love it as a nn for [name_f]Amelia[/name_f].
Classic names are great, even when they are more familiar/popular. And I think they are the way to go with your kids’ names. [name_f]My[/name_f] older sister is named [name_f]Sarah[/name_f]. We are very close in age and I always found [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] & [name_f]Amy[/name_f] to go well together, that said, she meets so many Sarahs – all ages, which can be very very confusing.
[name_f]My[/name_f] top picks at the moment are [name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] but I’m trying to decide if they are too overused. I love the names but I wanted to be a bit more creative. What I like and what I want don’t seem to match though if that makes any sense.
I think [name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] make a wonderful sibset for twins; both are classic and feminine. If you think [name_f]Sara[/name_f] is too short, how about [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f], with the nn of [name_f]Sera[/name_f] or [name_f]Sara[/name_f]?
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] and [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] ([name_f]My[/name_f] favorite twin combination ever)
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f]
I think we’ve settled on [name_f]Sara[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] for one twin. Now I’m just trying to come up with a name combo I love for the second twin. I thought girl names would be so much more fun than boy names but they are just stressing me out. There’s too many options!
You can’t go wrong with [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. I also really like [name_f]Annelise[/name_f] and it’s less popular than [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] and [name_f]Sara[/name_f] are nice too. I’m not a fan of [name_f]Amy[/name_f], so I would vote against [name_f]Amelia[/name_f].
P.S. [name_m]Just[/name_m] saw your post about needing a combo for the other twin. Of the names you listed, [name_f]Sara[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] (or [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]) work well.
I think [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] is a bit too close to [name_f]Leah[/name_f] for me.
[name_f]Rachel[/name_f] and [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] are the most common pairings I’ve seen with [name_f]Sara[/name_f]/[name_f]Sarah[/name_f], and I think they go well - but way too common for me! What about [name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Amy[/name_f]? [name_f]Sara[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] and [name_f]Amy[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]?
