Stuck between types of names!

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you find yourself loving different names, that just won’t go together? [name_m]How[/name_m] do you commit to one ‘theme’ over the other?

I love …
[name_m]Hart[/name_m]
[name_u]Clarke[/name_u]
[name_u]Kit[/name_u]
[name_u]Wren[/name_u]

But I also love …
[name_u]Gabriel[/name_u]
[name_m]Massimo[/name_m]
[name_f]Theodora[/name_f]

I am sure I’m not the only one who has had this trouble. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Sure! I think it happens more with my longtime crushes vs my favourites. For example, I’ve had longtime crushes on Billie(g), Kai(g), and Scout(g), Lux, but my “committed” style is Theodore, Eloise, Oliver, Phoebe.

As much as it would bug my OCD, I think it’s completely fine for sibling names not to have the same style of names. You don’t have to commit to one style!

One of my favorite combos of all-time is [name_f]Tegwen[/name_f] [name_u]Hali[/name_u]’a. I’d use it in a heartbeat. I love how it makes me feel, how it sounds, how exciting and fresh and travelled it is. [name_f]Tegwen[/name_f] and [name_u]Hali[/name_u]’a originated in opposite sides of the world in two completely different cultures, climates, environments – and to me, that makes them all the more special together.

I think you could pair any two or three or seven of those names together and tell a story with meaning. Getting bogged down in a theme felt really constricting and arbitrary to me, when my whole list looked like Maelily, [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], Fliss. Tempting adventure and throwing together [name_m]Seymour[/name_m] and [name_u]Devon[/name_u] and [name_f]Annikki[/name_f] and [name_f]Xanthippe[/name_f] and [name_u]Loveday[/name_u] and Chippy and [name_f]Teasagh[/name_f] (!!!) has given me so much more joy than trying to commit to a riverbed nature theme and love-love [name_u]River[/name_u] and [name_u]Lark[/name_u] and [name_f]Ambrosia[/name_f].

@jonquils said it! uncompromising! the great thing about art is that you can love all of it!
