We’ve managed to narrow a long list down to three but now we’ve been stuck for a little bit! To be honest, if this is as far as we get before he comes and we don’t decide on one until after we meet him, I’m okay with that but I think maybe some outside perspective might help us (we’ve been adamant about not discussing names with family and friends.) [name_u]Storm[/name_u] has special meaning to us so that one is set. Other names previously on our list ended with S or X and clashed with [name_u]Storm[/name_u] so we added a second middle between them and ended up really liking that, so we did it with all the names on our list. Last name is 2 syllables, starts with P and ends with “-son”. Big sister is [name_f]Novalee[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]
We also like [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] or [name_u]Everett[/name_u] as middles for [name_u]Brixton[/name_u] but we like [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] best. We’ll probably use [name_u]Dash[/name_u] or [name_m]Dax[/name_m] as an occasional nickname for [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] and [name_u]Jack[/name_u] for [name_u]Jacoby[/name_u]. We’ve also gone back and forth on spelling, [name_u]Wilder[/name_u] or [name_m]Wylder[/name_m]. TIA!
[name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] [name_m]Xavier[/name_m] [name_u]Storm[/name_u] is very charming and cool.
[name_u]Jacoby[/name_u] [name_u]Wilder[/name_u] [name_u]Storm[/name_u] is distinctive and interesting!
[name_u]Brixton[/name_u] [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] [name_u]Storm[/name_u] is well balanced but I personally don’t like the harsh sounds of [name_u]Brixton[/name_u]
[name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] [name_m]Xavier[/name_m] [name_u]Storm[/name_u] is my favourite! I think [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] and [name_f]Novalee[/name_f] are sweet together, and it’s a very handsome choice.
I don’t particularly like the sound of [name_u]Brixton[/name_u], and I think [name_u]Jacoby[/name_u] [name_u]Wilder[/name_u] [name_u]Storm[/name_u] is a bit too descriptive (“wild storm”) even though I love [name_u]Jacoby[/name_u], so [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] is a clear winner for me!
[name_u]Brixton[/name_u] [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] [name_u]Storm[/name_u] is BEAUTIFUL… It goes so well with [name_f]Novalee[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and I also just personally adore [name_u]Brixton[/name_u] as a name.
[name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] is probably my least favorite. It just doesn’t sound very well with [name_f]Novalee[/name_f] and personally just not a fan at all.
[name_u]Jacoby[/name_u] [name_u]Wilder[/name_u] is cute and sounds well with [name_f]Novalee[/name_f], but I think [name_u]Brixton[/name_u] still has my vote!
agree with @tallemaja on all points!! [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] [name_m]Xavier[/name_m] [name_u]Storm[/name_u] is my favorite, and I love nickname [name_u]Dash[/name_u]! [name_u]Brixton[/name_u] sounds harsh to me too, and [name_u]Jacoby[/name_u] [name_u]Wilder[/name_u] [name_u]Storm[/name_u] does sound descriptive, like a “wild storm.” Agree again though that I like [name_u]Jacoby[/name_u] on its own, and would enjoy [name_u]Jacoby[/name_u] [name_m]Xavier[/name_m] [name_u]Storm[/name_u] or [name_u]Jacoby[/name_u] [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] [name_u]Storm[/name_u]! [name_u]Or[/name_u] even [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] [name_u]Storm[/name_u], despite the double ell sounds
[name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] [name_m]Xavier[/name_m] [name_u]Storm[/name_u] is so handsome!! And I adore the nn [name_u]Dash[/name_u], it’s so sweet! [name_f]Novalee[/name_f] & [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] sound absolutely gorgeous together
[name_u]Jacoby[/name_u] [name_u]Wilder[/name_u] [name_u]Storm[/name_u] would be my 2nd choice!
[name_f]Novalee[/name_f] and [name_u]Jacoby[/name_u] feel a little sing-song to me. [name_u]Brixton[/name_u] and [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] are both handsome! If I had to pick one combo, I think I prefer [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] [name_m]Xavier[/name_m] [name_u]Storm[/name_u]. If I could mix and match, [name_u]Brixton[/name_u] [name_u]Wilder[/name_u] [name_u]Storm[/name_u] is really cool!
I’m torn between [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] [name_m]Xavier[/name_m] and [name_u]Jacoby[/name_u] [name_u]Wilder[/name_u]. [name_u]Brixton[/name_u] is a pass for me… I feel it sounds a tad harsh and Inkeep thinking it’s a misspelling of [name_u]Braxton[/name_u]. Additionally I think audibly the name kind of clashes / comes off tongue twistery with the hints you gave surrounding the last name [name_u]Brixton[/name_u] P-son
I like both [name_u]Jacoby[/name_u] & [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m]. I think I lean slightly towards [name_u]Jacoby[/name_u] as it’s such a handsome sound.
Although @macy13 makes a good point that [name_u]Jacoby[/name_u] & [name_f]Novalee[/name_f] are a little rhymey… but maybe that’s cute? [name_u]Or[/name_u] maybe they don’t usually go by full names which makes it a moot point.
[name_u]Brixton[/name_u] is nms and reads as a typo to me. Plus I can imagine others shortening to bricks (brix).
@HSrckrFreak94 Congratulations!! [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] [name_m]Xavier[/name_m] [name_u]Storm[/name_u] is definitely my favorite. I like that you can call him [name_u]Dash[/name_u] and he will have choices when he’s older. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps!
I like your list here! I vote for [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m]. I don’t think [name_u]Brixton[/name_u] sounds as good with a -son last name (imagining something like [name_u]Brixton[/name_u] Pierson) and [name_u]Jacoby[/name_u] is a little rhymey with [name_f]Novalee[/name_f]. [name_u]Dash[/name_u] or [name_m]Dax[/name_m] as [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] nicknames are perfect.
