What about [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Magdalen[/name_f]?
Esme [name_f]Mariella[/name_f]
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Marina[/name_f]
[name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f] Marren
I really love [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u], it goes perfectly with older brother’s name. [name_f]Esme[/name_f] could even me a nickname using the ES in [name_f]Esther[/name_f] and the M in [name_u]Marion[/name_u].
I vote for [name_f]Estella[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u]! Honors both grandmothers and has the soft “l” you’re wanting. Gorgeous with [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] too!
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] nn [name_f]Tess[/name_f] as mentioned above would be my second choice
I think [name_f]Estee[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u] would be cute alternative to honour [name_f]Esther[/name_f] and doesn’t have the double m sound like with [name_f]Esme[/name_f]. [name_m]Nate[/name_m] & [name_f]Estee[/name_f] But [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u]/Mariella are beautiful too.
Esme [name_f]Maribel[/name_f] is lovely. I also think flipping them around and naming her [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u] would have great flow.
I LOVE [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u] [name_f]Belle[/name_f], and I actually really like the flow of just [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u] by itself.
But here are some “L” heavy names for you:
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u] [name_f]Lisette[/name_f]
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u] [name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u] [name_f]Alina[/name_f]
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u] [name_f]Stella[/name_f]
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u] [name_f]Estella[/name_f]
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u] [name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u] [name_f]Cataline[/name_f]
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Estella[/name_f] are also more honor names for [name_f]Esther[/name_f], as they have the same meaning.
I’m no help as I love [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u]. Sorry!!! But, if you need an L - [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u] [name_f]Paloma[/name_f]?
Esme [name_f]Marielle[/name_f]
I’m so grateful for all the wonderful posts and suggestions!!! You guys are AMAZING!!
I guess I should have made it clearer that it is custom in our families to use the first letter when honoring someone, even though [name_f]Stella[/name_f] is such a great idea and I love the name, and I appreciate the [name_f]Tess[/name_f] idea! [name_f]My[/name_f] name is actually [name_u]Louise[/name_u] so [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] are out. [name_f]Estella[/name_f] is a gorgeous name but I’m hesitant. [name_f]Estie[/name_f] and [name_f]Estee[/name_f] are great options but I feel such pressure to choose the one lost perfect name for my likely only daughter. I might be looking for a a unicorn here?!
Thanks for the update! So does this mean it’s custom to not use the name itself but just the first letter. Like would [name_f]Michelle[/name_f] honor [name_u]Marion[/name_u]? (Randomly throwing it out not actually suggesting it) I have seen some suggestions for [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u] and do want to throw my support for that as well as I think it works well with your sons name in regards to sibset.
I will say my daughters name is [name_f]Esther[/name_f] and nn wise you have [name_f]Estie[/name_f] / [name_f]Estee[/name_f] / [name_f]Essie[/name_f] or [name_f]Etta[/name_f] (which we never use) so in terms of obvious honor name those would be my go to a over [name_f]Esme[/name_f]. But if it’s just the E you’re after a subtle nod to [name_f]Esther[/name_f] could be [name_f]Elsie[/name_f]. And a therefore subtle nod to [name_u]Marion[/name_u] could be [name_f]Mariam[/name_f]. Which might actually tie to the sibset better then [name_u]Marion[/name_u].
Any who thank you for the update!
Sounds like you have months for the right name to gently emerge.
Nathaniel [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] and [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u] are to me all gorgeous, but there is no L for the female combo.
Some names like [name_u]Marion[/name_u] that have an L:
Marbella
[name_f]Madelief[/name_f]
[name_f]Magdalen[/name_f]
[name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u]
[name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]
Maginel
[name_f]Maridel[/name_f]
[name_f]Madrigal[/name_f]
I think [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] and [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Madelief[/name_f] or [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Madrigal[/name_f] are especially beautiful.
What about [name_f]Ismay[/name_f] or [name_f]Ismene[/name_f] or [name_f]Isla[/name_f] or [name_f]Ianthe[/name_f] or [name_f]Iolanthe[/name_f] or [name_f]Iseult[/name_f] or [name_f]Isadora[/name_f]?
Ismeme [name_u]Marion[/name_u]? [name_f]Ianthe[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u]?
Congratulations!
There’s always [name_f]Maristela[/name_f] & [name_f]Mina[/name_f]. I first thought of [name_f]Mabel[/name_f].

[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u] [name_f]Livia[/name_f]
Using the letter is a must and ideally the name sounds similar to the honor name. [name_f]Esme[/name_f]/Estee/Estella etc are close to [name_f]Esther[/name_f]. Any M name would work but similarly, something close to [name_u]Marion[/name_u] is best thanks!!
Esme [name_u]Marion[/name_u] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] I love
I second the suggestion of [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Marielle[/name_f]. I think the syllable count and the similarity of the first and second syllables make it a good honor name for [name_u]Marion[/name_u].
Esther:
[name_f]Vesta[/name_f]
[name_f]Esmae[/name_f]
[name_f]Inez[/name_f]
[name_f]Thea[/name_f]
[name_f]Thora[/name_f]
[name_f]Heather[/name_f]
[name_f]Theresa[/name_f]
Marion:
[name_f]Marnie[/name_f]
[name_f]Marceline[/name_f]
[name_f]Hermione[/name_f]
[name_f]Marissa[/name_f]
Honor both:
[name_f]Emmarie[/name_f] /Emory
[name_f]Esmarie[/name_f]
[name_f]Esmerelda[/name_f]
Elizabeth [name_u]Marion[/name_u]?
Everly
[name_f]Edith[/name_f]
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
[name_f]Emer[/name_f] (EE-mer, Irish I think)
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f]/ [name_f]Estella[/name_f]
Esme [name_f]Marisol[/name_f] has a beautiful flow to me! Best of luck
