My husband is very hard to please when it comes to names, but he finally agreed on these two! One has meaning to me and the other is just so pretty I think! He has chosen his favorite, but I keep being pulled toward the other name! Okay, I’ll shut up! Here they are:
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] (the one that I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] and has meaning…Gone with the Wind and [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] Ball are things my mother and grandmother and I share, and it just means a lot to me)
Or
[name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] (this is just so pretty to me and a little different for such a “common” name…this is the one my husband prefers)
Which do you prefer? I’m trying to let him choose between these two but when he told me which one he liked better, I wanted the opposite! I feel crazy! Haha!
I personally prefer [name_f]Ella[/name_f], it’s just such a beautiful name, however, [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] is nice, too, just not my thing.
I say, meaning trumps “just beautiful” if you don’t have a #1 favourite, or you just wait until you meet her and see which one suits her best.
If [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] has so much meaning and is so special to you, use it! You won’t have any regrets! Meanwhile, even if [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] is a good combo too, but since you don’t love it as much, you can’t have regrets in the future because you didn’t use a combo that has so much meaning for you
I think I prefer [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] (it IS very pretty, I never thought of [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] for a girl, though I actually like it a lot) however, [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] is nice, too. It has too many double-letters, and doesn’t flow quite as well, so I prefer [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_u]Monroe[/name_u]. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] that you’re able to decide!
[name_f]Lovely[/name_f]! I’d opt for [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Cecile[/name_f] and [name_f]Elle[/name_f] [name_u]Monroe[/name_u], but we’re definitely on the same wavelength!
I prefer [name_f]Ella[/name_f] over [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] but I dislike [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] so overall I would choose [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Lucille[/name_f]. I think if it means something to you and you love both names you should go with it. I also like the suggestion of waiting until she’s born so you can look at her and see which name suits her.
