Stumped by Names

Looking for a trong boy name that has a “ck” sound in the name and doesn’t end in “-son”. My husband really loves [name]Brooks[/name], but I am having a hard time saying out loud “those are [name]Brooks[/name]’ toys”–would you say this-- [name]Brooks[/name]’ toys or this-- [name]Brooks[/name]'s (emphasizing the “s” for possession) Am I thinking about this too much? It makes me want to axe the name altogether.

I mentioned the name Merrick tonight to my husband and he wasn’t too keen. We had one boy name for my son so it was easy to choose. Not so easy this time around. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I think that [name]Brooks[/name] is great, but if the s ending bothers you, I think it’s something important to consider.

K sounds:

[name]Atticus[/name] (s ending, though)
[name]Felix[/name] (s sound at the end, though)
[name]Nicholas[/name] (s, though)

I love the [name]Beckett[/name] suggestion!

Good luck!

I like the suggestions already given. [name]How[/name] about:

[name]Aric[/name] ([name]Air[/name]-ic)

Here are some rare ones from my list… When I was looking through I realised there are strangely few on it… I like [name]Brooks[/name] though
[name]Henrik[/name] (awesome namesake in [name]Henrik[/name] [name]Ibsen[/name], playwright)

I love [name]Brooks[/name].

[name]How[/name] about:

[name]Franklin[/name] ‘[name]Frankie[/name]’
[name]Francis[/name] ‘[name]Frankie[/name]’

[name]Love[/name] [name]Beckett[/name]!

[name]Love[/name] [name]Beckett[/name]![/quote]

Third [name]Beckett[/name] as well:) Good luck!
