[name_f]Alara[/name_f] starry and cool!
[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.
[name_f]Lovely[/name_f] list! Here are my favorite to least favorite rankings:
Lilia-I love [name_f]Lilia[/name_f]. She’s such a great balance of elegance & sparkle. It’s sweet & botanical & feminine & slightly exotic but still simple & gentle. And it has the built in nn of the lovable [name_f]Lili[/name_f] (or Lily…I kind of like both.) The only downside is that [name_f]Lily[/name_f] is so popular, but [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] is not at least.
Olive-I almost chose this, but [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] has been on my short-longish list since 1996. I do adore [name_f]Olive[/name_f] though. It’s artsy & vintage & a little spunky with just the right amount of femininity. It’s also botanical, which I’m into as well. It’s not terribly popular, but kind of close to the super popular [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]. I’m not into the nn [name_f]Liv[/name_f] (love [name_f]Livy[/name_f] though!), but I think that [name_f]Liv[/name_f] could be avoided.
Rose-This is a name that I really love the vibe of more than the actual sound. The sound isn’t unpleasant though. It’s perfectly nice, just feels a little bit abrupt. That being said, it’s a beautiful elegant floral simple and not too popular classic. The built in nn of [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] is cute too. I don’t know how avoidable an occasional [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] would be, so hopefully you like it.
Ivy-I like the plant and the spunky vibe of this. It’s kind of flapper girl, which is really fun. I just don’t like the sound though…reminds me of I.V.
Alina-I like that it’s different, feminine & simple. [name_m]Just[/name_m] doesn’t do much for me, but it’s not bad.
Alara-Same as above, but I think that [name_f]Alina[/name_f] sounds cuter.
Ryla-Meh, not into this one. Feels a bit trendy & kind of made-up-ish.
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.
[name_u]Rose[/name_u]. Timeless, elegant, classic. Reminds me of Titanic, which is one of my favourite movies.
I also like [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Alina[/name_f]. The latter, however, has a strong Slavic connotation so I would not use it.
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f]. [name_f]Pretty[/name_f] and underused.
This was so hard!
I went with [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] as it’s my little one’s name but that’s closely followed by [name_u]Rose[/name_u]
I chose [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] because I’ve really been drawn to it lately – but wouldn’t be able to use it because there’s already a ‘Lily’ variation in the family – close seconds would be [name_u]Ivy[/name_u] or [name_f]Alina[/name_f]
I voted [name_f]Lilia[/name_f], I am 100% biased though. [name_f]My[/name_f] little sister is called [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] so it’s obviously my favourite!
