Subchorionic Hemorrage

Does anybody have any personal experience with this?

I have had them with both of my pregnancies. I experienced bleeding throughout the first trimester but no pain with it. According to my dr. it is just a pocket of blood that forms and has to come out but it doesn’t effect the baby.

Did you end up having normal pregnancies? No bed rest or anything?

I am currently on my second pregnancy so I can’t speak for this one yet. My first pregnancy ran into difficulty but that was because I was carrying twins, it had nothing to do with the subchorionic bleed. The babies were fine and I ended up on bed rest at 29weeks but that was because of preterm labor, the bleed had long since corrected itself. What did your doctor say? Mine thought it was no big deal. It was scary for me but just because when I was bleeding I was scared I would miscarry, once I realised what it was I knew to expect the bleeding so it wasn’t so frightening.

My dr said it was normal and that it would likely heal itself, but it’s still very scary to me.

I had one early at 6 weeks. It was larger than the entire gestational sac. They put me on pelvic rest, but no bed rest. By the 9 week ultrasound it had diminished. I’m now due on [name]Monday[/name], and have had a wonderful pregnancy- no complications whatsoever, and this little boy is doing wonderfully. It’s very scary, even if it is a normal thing. Good luck!
