So my son’s names are [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] & [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] right?
I was thinking about the short forms, [name_m]Art[/name_m] & [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] (hue), both are terms relating to art which I find interesting as someone who loves art, I wonder if that played into a subconscious bias towards liking those names above the others. I wondered if any one else found a similar trend in the names they like most, preferably without intent?
Like maybe [name_f]Oriana[/name_f] for a geologist (ore) or [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] for an author (story), for an example, you can hear the relation to the interest but it’s not directly related.

Ooo, maybe [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] “Pen.”

Ooh, this is interesting!
I’m thinking maybe:
[name_f]Romilly[/name_f] ‘Romy / Roamy’ (as in, roaming, exploring)
[name_f]Ebba[/name_f] ‘Ebb’ (in relation to the sea)
[name_f]Francesca[/name_f] ‘Chessie’ (for [name_m]Chess[/name_m] players?)
I’ve always loved [name_m]Sterling[/name_m]. And this was long before I knew I’d wish to be a Silversmith So maybe not a theme, because it’s just the one, but still

[name_f]Love[/name_f] the ideas of [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] ‘Story’ and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] ‘Pen’!
Here’s what I could come up with:
[name_f]Solange[/name_f] ‘Song’
[name_f]Pandora[/name_f] ‘Pan’
[name_f]Bryluen[/name_f] ‘Blue’
[name_m]Alfred[/name_m] / [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] / [name_f]Meredith[/name_f] / [name_m]Wilfred[/name_m] / [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] ‘Red’
[name_f]Illyria[/name_f] ‘Lyre, Lyric’
[name_f]Aquila[/name_f] ‘Quill’
[name_m]Bernard[/name_m] ‘Bard’
[name_f]Brooke[/name_f] ‘Book’
[name_m]Carlton[/name_m] / [name_m]Dalton[/name_m] / [name_m]Walton[/name_m] ‘Alto’

I’ve always liked Astoria/Story and [name_m]Booker[/name_m] as an aspiring novelist. I haven’t really taken it beyond that, though!

No, I haven’t found a theme of nns that developed by accident like that, but I find [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] and [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] to be literary names. In general very artistic. I’ve seen people avoid a name even though they love it after seeing the nns make a theme. I think it was something about fire on one post off the top of my head.
I love the underlying theme in your sons names!
I’m not sure if this is exactly the same, but I love word/nature names and am a huge nature lover as well. I’ve often found myself very drawn to names that sound like words, but are not. Examples like/ [name_m]Willoughby[/name_m] (willow), [name_f]Astara[/name_f] (star), [name_m]Bellamy[/name_m] (bell), [name_m]Brighton[/name_m] (bright), [name_f]Larkin[/name_f] (lark), [name_m]Bowie[/name_m] (bow)
