Suggestions Appreciated!

Need a name for the newest little brother! Big brothers are [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and [name_m]Julian[/name_m]. Their last name starts with an S, and is two syllables. They’re looking for something that fits well with the older two. Had the baby been a girl, her name would be [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] Mabrey. So far the list is:

[name_m]Henry[/name_m]
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m]
[name_m]Tobias[/name_m]
[name_m]Maximillian[/name_m]
[name_u]Carlisle[/name_u]
[name_m]Phillip[/name_m]
[name_u]Evan[/name_u]
[name_m]Miles[/name_m]
[name_u]Luca[/name_u] or [name_m]Luka[/name_m]
[name_u]Chase[/name_u]

The list is in order of favorite to least. Not sold on any of the above.

Names that are liked, but cannot be used for various reasons.

[name_m]Frederick[/name_m], [name_m]Charles[/name_m], [name_m]Patrick[/name_m], [name_m]William[/name_m], [name_m]George[/name_m], [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m], [name_m]Solomon[/name_m], [name_m]Garth[/name_m], [name_u]Michael[/name_u], And any A or J names.

Thank you for your help Berries. My friend appreciates it!

[name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and [name_m]Julian[/name_m] are smashing. From their list, [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] are my faves but [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] isn’t ideal with an “S” surname. I love [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] but not with [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and I like [name_m]Maximilian[/name_m] but not with [name_m]Julian[/name_m]. Here are some suggestions.

[name_m]Raphael[/name_m]
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m]
[name_m]Leo[/name_m]/[name_m]Leopold[/name_m]
[name_m]Maxwell[/name_m]
[name_m]Gregory[/name_m]
[name_m]Hugh[/name_m]/[name_m]Hugo[/name_m]
[name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]
[name_m]Benedict[/name_m]
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m]
[name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m]
[name_m]Daniel[/name_m]
[name_m]Dominic[/name_m]
[name_m]Vincent[/name_m]

I love [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] and [name_m]Phillip[/name_m] with your boys’ name!

I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] [name_m]Henry[/name_m] with [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and [name_m]Julian[/name_m]. They definitely all have a similar feel but sound very distinct from one another, which I love. Honestly, it’s the only name on your list that I really love. I do also like [name_m]Philip[/name_m], but not as much as [name_m]Henry[/name_m].

Other ideas:
[name_m]Felix[/name_m]
[name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_m]Leo[/name_m]
[name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]
[name_m]Vincent[/name_m]
[name_m]Milo[/name_m] (love this and [name_m]Miles[/name_m], but don’t like [name_m]Miles[/name_m] with a surname starting with S)
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
[name_m]Simon[/name_m]
[name_m]Paul[/name_m]
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m]
[name_m]Mitchell[/name_m]
[name_m]Eli[/name_m]/[name_u]Elliot[/name_u]
[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m]
[name_m]Edward[/name_m]
[name_m]Grant[/name_m]

[name_m]Henry[/name_m] is the top runner, but still not sold.
Liked [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], [name_m]Gregory[/name_m], and considering [name_m]Phillip[/name_m]. Still don’t “love” any of them. Looking for something classic, strong, but not generic. Scared [name_m]Henry[/name_m] may be too generic. Any more suggestions? Also, thoughts on possible middle names would be wonderful.
Thank you again, Berries.

[name_m]Henry[/name_m]- Fabulous. It’s not generic at all.
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m]- Very handsome.
[name_m]Tobias[/name_m]- It’s a great name, but doesn’t work well with an “S” surname.
[name_m]Maximilian[/name_m]- I can’t stand [name_m]Maximilian[/name_m]. It’s pretentious but somehow not so. I can’t even describe it, haha.
[name_u]Carlisle[/name_u]- I feel like this is a little out of place with [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and [name_m]Julian[/name_m].
[name_m]Phillip[/name_m]- I like the single “l” better.
[name_u]Evan[/name_u]- [name_u]Evan[/name_u] almost seems too “casual” paired with [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and [name_m]Julian[/name_m].
[name_m]Miles[/name_m]- I like it. I think it works with [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and [name_m]Julian[/name_m] too, although it’s slightly different is style.
[name_u]Luca[/name_u]- I have a soft spot for [name_u]Luca[/name_u]. It’s fantastic.
[name_u]Chase[/name_u]- No. It sounds like a name a hunter would give his kid. Maybe with a brother named [name_u]Hunter[/name_u]. I don’t like it.

Really love [name_u]Mischa[/name_u]'s suggestions.

[name_m]Raphael[/name_m]
[name_m]Vital[/name_m] (Vee-[name_u]TAL[/name_u])
[name_m]Cabot[/name_m]
[name_u]Hudson[/name_u]
[name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]
[name_m]Nicolas[/name_m]
[name_m]Lorenzo[/name_m]
[name_m]Lorentz[/name_m]
[name_m]Hadrian[/name_m]

Anymore ideas…?

[name_m]Henry[/name_m] is great, but increasing in popularity. BUT! It has many amazing nicknames that are anything but generic. [name_m]Harry[/name_m] and [name_m]Hank[/name_m] are sweet and fresh in [name_u]America[/name_u].
I’ll second [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]. I think those are great. For less common, [name_m]Eamon[/name_m] (instead of clunky [name_m]Edmund[/name_m]), [name_m]Quentin[/name_m], [name_m]Desmond[/name_m], [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], [name_m]Simon[/name_m], or [name_u]Sidney[/name_u].
