I need some help narrowing down my favorite an [name]Amaryllis[/name] 2 middle combo. [name]One[/name] of the middles is [name]Josephine[/name]. I currently have [name]Amaryllis[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Saoirse[/name], but it is kind of a mouthful when said out loud, so I’m looking for something either two syllables or one. Other considerations were:
[name]Amaryllis[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Summer[/name]
[name]Amaryllis[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Luna[/name]
[name]Amaryllis[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Elle[/name]
[name]Amaryllis[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Kate[/name]
[name]Amaryllis[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Liv[/name]
[name]Amaryllis[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Piper[/name]
[name]Amaryllis[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Scarlett[/name]
[name]Amaryllis[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Sage[/name]
[name]Amaryllis[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Skye[/name]
[name]Amaryllis[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Scout[/name]
[name]Amaryllis[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] Luxe
[name]Amaryllis[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Love[/name]
Could you help me out? Which ones are best, and what others can you think of? Nickname for [name]Amaryllis[/name] would be [name]Lilly[/name]. And [name]Josephine[/name] could be the second middle instead of the first.
Thanks!
Ps. A theoretical post, obviously. Still just an average teenager.
I like [name]Amaryllis[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]. I don’t think this combo needs a third name. It is lovely, but as you said a bit of a mouthful. I think adding even a short, simple third name will only make that worse.
@whimsy21 I totally get what you are saying. But I felt the need to contemplate a second middle because all my other favorite names are currently worked into 2middle combos. Still, I do agree that amaryllis [name]Josephine[/name] could do well as is. Thanks for the input!
@Marinadancel17 thanks! I have recently re-admired [name]Skye[/name], [name]Liv[/name], and [name]Elle[/name] for their simplicity. Along with [name]Kate[/name]!
Is [name]Josephine[/name] totally set? I feel like you could play with [name]Josie[/name] or [name]Joan[/name]. I’m not normally a fan of middles as fulls ([name]Josie[/name]), but with [name]Amaryllis[/name] being quite long and formal, I think it works better. If you like [name]Lily[/name] as a nickname for [name]Amaryllis[/name], what about [name]Lileas[/name]/[name]Lilias[/name]? Kind of combines the two names.
Anyway, I don’t think anyone yet tried moving [name]Josephine[/name] to third spot, and a few combos I like that way are:
[name]Amaryllis[/name] is quite the name all on its lonesome
The only problem I see with adding 2 middle names is that it’ll make filling out any legal forms a real pain in the butt.
My mother has two first names, a middle name, and a last, and recently wanted to add her new husband’s name to her last name. So she’d have essentially a hyphenated or double last name, two first names and a middle name.
She was told NO by the Social Security office…they said it just wouldn’t fit on a SS card.
It would have been
First name #1 (10 letters long) First name #2 (8 letters long) Middle name (5 letters long) Last name #1 (6 letters) Last name #2 (7 letters long).
When I see [name]Amaryllis[/name] (9 letters) [name]Josephine[/name] (9 letters), regardless of how short the second middle name is this might cause problems later on in life.
I know this is just theoretical, but I figured I’d give you something to consider.
@yreynolds that’s a very good point. However, I feel like it wouldn’t be too much of a problem since she would have just one first name, and one last name. Your mother has 5 names total. With a difference of one name, I figure she could probably get by. But I appreciate the careful consideration!
@lucyalice thank you, I have always had a soft spot for the bright and beautiful name [name]Lux[/name]. I was bouncing between adding an e, but after seeing it written I think I like it without better.
