Suggestions for my brother-in-law and his wife

My husband’s brother and his wife are expecting a baby boy in [name]December[/name]. They have three other children: [name]Colin[/name] [name]Richard[/name], [name]Henry[/name] [name]Joseph[/name], and [name]Abigail[/name] [name]Marie[/name]. They want the middle name to be [name]Thomas[/name], a family name on his wife’s side, and the last name is one syllable. Any ideas that would fit in with a sibset of [name]Colin[/name], [name]Henry[/name], and [name]Abigail[/name]? They asked me for suggestions, but I’m completely stuck. [name]Colin[/name]'s name is throwing me off because it doesn’t quite seem to fit with [name]Henry[/name] and [name]Abigail[/name] [name]IMO[/name]. I was thinking maybe [name]Patrick[/name]? Would that work? Any other ideas? They would prefer a name with a different initial and ending from the other kids, and they’re not too fussed about popularity.

Some names that they have already considered and rejected: [name]Logan[/name], [name]Micah[/name], [name]Timothy[/name], [name]Peter[/name], [name]Jeremy[/name], and [name]Isaac[/name].

Thanks, guys. I’ll forward the suggestions that best seem to fit their criteria along with a couple more I managed to come up with and see what they think. Hopefully there’s something they like!

Heard back from them this morning, and they now have a small list of candidates: [name]Patrick[/name], [name]Stuart[/name], [name]Philip[/name], [name]Levi[/name], [name]Maxwell[/name], [name]Malcolm[/name] (although they’re a little concerned that [name]Colin[/name] and [name]Malcolm[/name] both have “col”), [name]Oliver[/name], [name]Edward[/name], [name]Robert[/name], and [name]Noah[/name]. The front-runner at the moment seems to be [name]Stuart[/name], but [name]Philip[/name] is close behind. I have a feeling it’ll come down to those two. Thanks again for all your help!

If it matters-- [name]Stuart[/name] and [name]Thomas[/name] run into each other somewhat. ([name]Robert[/name] has the same problem). [name]Philip[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] has a lovely sound.

I think [name]Colin[/name] and [name]Malcolm[/name] sound quite different (but not as different as [name]Colin[/name] and [name]Philip[/name]!)

I like [name]Stuart[/name] best! I like when names don’t follow all the ‘rules’…gives them character!

Yeah, I did mention that to them, but they don’t think it’s that big a deal. They’re just so happy to finally have some names they both love! (Personally, though, I’m secretly hoping they pick [name]Philip[/name] over [name]Stuart[/name]. [name]Stuart[/name]'s nice, but [name]Philip[/name] just seems to sparkle a little bit more.)
