I am really struggling to think of names for my baby girl. I have always liked more unusual names, but nothing crazy. I already have two boys called [name_m]Boden[/name_m] and [name_m]Fox[/name_m]. So I need a name that will fit well them.
I always thought I had similar boy and girl taste but now looking at my list of girl names I feel they aren’t quite unique or quirky enough to match her brothers. For girls I am drawn to either quite girly names or gender neutral names.
These are the names on our list so far, I just haven’t fallen love with any of them like I did my boys names.
I don’t know if these are your style. But here are some names I like that I have seen here, in literature, or on other sites, but have never heard in real life:
I also love [name_f]Mavis[/name_f], [name_f]Katell[/name_f] (Kuh-TELL), and [name_u]Jori[/name_u] and have only come across one person with each of these names.
Other thoughts that could go with [name_m]Boden[/name_m] and [name_m]Fox[/name_m] (cute names btw!):
I have a [name_u]Tatum[/name_u] [name_u]Scout[/name_u]! And it suits her. I’m now pregnant with baby girl #2 and in the same boat as you. Here are some of the names I’ve thought of… (but probably won’t use). Still haven’t quite found what feels right.
I absolutely love the names you have suggested!!! But my favourite is [name_u]Hollis[/name_u], what a beautiful name and I feel like it is a perfect combination of the style of names I like (a bit gender neutral and girly). I also love [name_f]Blossom[/name_f] and [name_f]Maple[/name_f], will be showing my DH tonight!
Oooh I love the name [name_u]Tatum[/name_u] [name_u]Scout[/name_u], I am jealous!! Thank you for the baby name suggestions, I will be adding them to my list! I absolutely love the name [name_u]Campbell[/name_u] (nickname [name_u]Cam[/name_u]) and was a really strong contender for baby girl, although my DH firmly dismissed it as it reminded him of an old work colleague
Thank you I love these names and will be adding to my list!!
I also love the name [name_u]Scout[/name_u] and have done since I read “To Kill a Mockingbird” when I was 12, I always had thought if I had a daughter I would call her [name_u]Scout[/name_u], however my DH isn’t so keen on the name, which is really sad for me.
I love the name [name_u]Hollis[/name_u], one of my new favourites. I also love [name_u]Romy[/name_u] and [name_f]Suki[/name_f] - so different and unique!!
Oooh I love all these names, right up my street! Yeah I love [name_u]Scout[/name_u] as well, and as you said it does sound great with my boys names, although my husband just isn’t keen and I’m not sure if there is nay way of persuading him!!
I also [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the name [name_f]Posey[/name_f], however I’m just not sure if it is versatile. Is it too babyish when she reaches the age of 30?
I have really tried, he just isn’t budging. He says he thinks it sounds like the name [name_m]Scott[/name_m] and also since we nickname our boys names ([name_m]Boden[/name_m] is ‘[name_u]Bo[/name_u]’ and [name_m]Fox[/name_m] ‘[name_f]Foxy[/name_f]’) he thinks you can’t nickname [name_u]Scout[/name_u] as ‘Scoutie’ doesn’t have a nice ring to it.
He loves the names:
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u]
[name_u]Marlowe[/name_u]
[name_f]Posey[/name_f]
[name_u]Wallis[/name_u]
[name_u]Indigo[/name_u] ‘[name_f]Indie[/name_f]’
[name_f]Liv[/name_f]
And I like those names as well, just not sure if I love any of them!
We both do really like [name_f]Posey[/name_f], we just aren’t sure if it is a name that is too babyish of when she reaches her 30’s?
