[name_f]Posey[/name_f] has traditionally been a nickname for [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]. Although that doesn’t seem like it fits w/most of the names mentioned, it is a more “girly” name as you had mentioned in your original post, & has lots of nickname options for different stages in a girl’s/woman’s life.
Of your original list I love [name_f]Iris[/name_f]…one of my favorite names. Perhaps in the same vein: [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]? [name_u]Fable[/name_u] makes me think of [name_f]Sonnet[/name_f], which I think someone else mentioned as well. If you like [name_u]Campbell[/name_u] but that’s out, maybe [name_f]Camber[/name_f] or [name_f]Cambrie[/name_f] or [name_f]Cambria[/name_f]?
There have been lots of great suggestions so far, so apologies for any repeats here:
Yes, she would be our fifth family member, so [name_u]Quincy[/name_u] would be lovely never thought of that! Thank you as well for the other name suggestions, it is giving me a lot of inspiration and ideas to add to my list!!
Thank you for so many great suggestions!! I love [name_f]Iris[/name_f] as well, I just have heard quite a few [name_f]Iris[/name_f]’ in my area, which I know shouldn’t really matter, but I think because I haven’t come across another [name_m]Boden[/name_m] or [name_m]Fox[/name_m], I wouldn’t want her name to be rising in popularity? I’m probably over thinking it.
I absolutely love [name_u]Hollis[/name_u] now after seeing so many berries suggest it!! Since I feel like it has a perfect nn ‘holly’ and suits my style. I will just have to see how my DH feels about it, as he is definitely drawn to more girly names than I am.
Also I am still loving the name [name_f]Liv[/name_f] or as you said [name_f]Livia[/name_f], my DH also loves this and the meaning “life”. The only thing putting me off is I’m not keen on the name [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], just as it is too generic for me and I think people would assume [name_f]Liv[/name_f] was just a nickname.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] these names! I love meadow just not sure how you would nickname it? I am prone to nicknaming my children, so for me there would have to bean obvious nn.
I love [name_f]Posie[/name_f], however I would spell it [name_f]Posey[/name_f]. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think the different spelling would become a problem as she grew up?
I also love [name_u]Kit[/name_u] was a very high contender for my first son, we were going to call him [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] and shorten it to [name_u]Kit[/name_u]. I have never considered it for a girl but I love it!!
I thought these names would fit, some better than others, with [name_m]Boden[/name_m] and [name_m]Fox[/name_m]. I also tried to pick names that might interest you.
Best of luck!
I nickname my kids as well, although I never really intend to. It just happens! [name_f]Meadow[/name_f] could be a [name_f]Mae[/name_f], a [name_f]Mia[/name_f], or a [name_f]Doe[/name_f], I suppose.
I don’t think the different spelling of [name_f]Posey[/name_f] would be a problem at all. [name_f]Posy[/name_f]/[name_f]Posie[/name_f]/[name_f]Posey[/name_f] is one of my all time favorite names.
I think [name_u]Kit[/name_u] would be absolutely darling on a little girl. I think it would be so cute with [name_m]Boden[/name_m] & [name_m]Fox[/name_m]!
Thank you for your suggestions! I love the name [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] and I would nickname ‘junie’. Also love [name_u]Wren[/name_u] and [name_u]Marlow[/name_u], [name_u]Wren[/name_u] definitely fitting in with our animal theme. I have never heard of [name_f]Eleusine[/name_f] or [name_f]Maeva[/name_f] but I think they are really pretty!
I love [name_f]Cricket[/name_f], so unusual and cute, just not sure what would use as a nickname. Also love [name_f]Lavender[/name_f], but I don’t know if it is too pretty for me? [name_u]Winslow[/name_u] is on our list and is definitely a contender, I love the nickname ‘[name_f]Winnie[/name_f]’ and I think [name_m]Boden[/name_m], [name_m]Fox[/name_m] and [name_u]Winslow[/name_u] has a nice ring!
Yes I absolutely adore the name [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]. I have a couple reasons why I just couldn’t use it. I feel like it has become very mainstream with celebrities such as [name_f]Gisele[/name_f] and [name_f]Angelina[/name_f] [name_f]Jolie[/name_f] calling their kids [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]/[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], I also think it would cause her confusion as she grew up because there are so many different ways to spell it, i also don’t think it would go with [name_m]Boden[/name_m] and fox. But I do [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the name.
As for [name_u]Scout[/name_u], it would hands down be the name I would probably pick for her, however DH just does not like it and is not budging. Such a shame because [name_m]Boden[/name_m], fox and [name_u]Scout[/name_u] just sounds so lovely The name [name_u]Scout[/name_u] [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] is so lovely though and [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] is still contender for middle name!
There is actually a [name_f]Pandora[/name_f] (Pandy) in my sons class, it is such a lovely name, not sure if it is my style. And I absolutely love [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] as well, just again it is too popular for us and I don’t think it goes well with [name_m]Boden[/name_m] and [name_m]Fox[/name_m].
Yes that would work perfectly for [name_f]Meadow[/name_f], I like that! [name_m]Just[/name_m] not sure if meadow is too floral and girly for me?? I can’t decide
Yeah I like the name [name_f]Olive[/name_f], but if you heard the name [name_f]Liv[/name_f] would you just assume it was a nickname? Instead of a name on its own?
