I’ve been having trouble coming up with some boy name options that I love as much as my top two girl names. The names are [name]Margot[/name] [name]Cordelia[/name] and [name]Ingrid[/name] [name]Zenobia[/name]. There are a few boy names we’ve tossed around, but none that stick out as clearly as our girl name choices. So here is a tentative list for first and middle name options, and all opinions and suggestions are welcome.
Please suggest some combos from my choices or from your own suggestions that you think pair well with [name]Margot[/name] [name]Cordelia[/name] and [name]Ingrid[/name] [name]Zenobia[/name]. [name]TIA[/name]!
I love your suggestions of [name]Alfred[/name], [name]Calvin[/name], [name]Edwin[/name], [name]Ezra[/name] (although my sister has already claimed this), [name]Rufus[/name], [name]Simon[/name] and [name]Thaddeus[/name]. I think for first names I’m more interested in two syllable names to maintain continuity.
[name]Ah[/name], a girl after my own heart. Twins on the way. [name]Cormac[/name] and [name]Cordelia[/name].
While I [name]Love[/name] [name]Cormac[/name] (obviously). I think if you’re wanting to do a sib-set. I’d prefer [name]Ephraim[/name], personally. For some reason I think [name]Margot[/name], [name]Ingrid[/name], and [name]Ephraim[/name] sound lovely together.
So, pulling just from your lists, I like: [name]Ephraim[/name] [name]Leander[/name] or [name]Ephraim[/name] [name]Casimir[/name]. Those two are tied.
thompssn- [name]Cormac[/name] and [name]Cordelia[/name] are amazing together! Great taste!
[name]Ephraim[/name] would probably be my favorite right now, and I’m really toying with [name]Ephraim[/name] [name]Leander[/name] or [name]Ephraim[/name] [name]Leopold[/name]. The main thing is, I can’t decide which I like most between [name]Cedric[/name], [name]Cormac[/name] and [name]Conrad[/name]. I feel like using one means I can’t ever use the others because of their similar sounds.
[name]Cedric[/name] -nn [name]Ric[/name], [name]Ced[/name], [name]Eric[/name], [name]Deric[/name], means bounty, is in [name]Ivanhoe[/name] and [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name], most accessible imo
[name]Conrad[/name] - nn [name]Con[/name], [name]Rad[/name], Conar, Cona, means brave counsel, is in Bye Bye [name]Birdie[/name] and has a bit more nerd flair than the others
[name]Cormac[/name] -nn [name]Mac[/name], [name]Cor[/name], [name]Cory[/name], means tree trunk, is in Celtic mythology and worn by a novelist
I don’t think you could use both [name]Conrad[/name] and [name]Cormac[/name], but I think [name]Cedric[/name] is different enough, especially if you have more than 2 children. Very different sound and feel. My first choice of the 3 would be [name]Cedric[/name] because I feel it’s the most pleasing in look and sound and the most accessible (I can imagine meeting a guy named [name]Cedric[/name] and it fitting guys of different types well)
[name]Cedric[/name] [name]Leander[/name] fits best imo
[name]Conrad[/name] [name]Leopold[/name]
[name]Cormac[/name] [name]Augustin[/name]
I agree with the above. If you really don’t want to do something that matches, [name]Cedric[/name] would be fine with either [name]Conrad[/name] or [name]Cormac[/name]. Probably a little better with [name]Conrad[/name], if you want to totally avoid matching. Since [name]Cedric[/name] and [name]Cormac[/name] end with the “k” sound. But, having one C that starts with a soft sound and one with a hard sound wouldn’t be matchy at all except in writing.
