I really need suggestions. I like names that aren’t popular, and aren’t too pretty, flouncy, or nice.’ I like names that you might not hear very often. Some of my names might seem a bit out there.
My current list:
[name]Monday[/name]
[name]Sloanne[/name] (spelt with the double n in honor of my grandmother [name]Anne[/name])
[name]Ireland[/name] nn [name]Isla[/name]
[name]Ingrid[/name]
[name]Astrid[/name]
[name]Anastasia[/name] nn Sia
[name]Milo[/name] nn Mizzy
[name]Indigo[/name] nn [name]Indi[/name]
[name]Immy[/name] (mn)
[name]Quinn[/name] (mn)
[name]Olive[/name] (mn)
[name]Primrose[/name] (mn)
Zelda
Sinead
[name]Monday[/name]–Hmmm…I wouldn’t want it.
[name]Sloanne[/name] --this will get mispronounced as Slo-[name]Anne[/name] or people will assume it’s mis-spelled. Terrible.
[name]Ireland[/name] nn [name]Isla[/name]–[name]One[/name] or the other, don’t think [name]Isla[/name] is a nn in this day and age. Too many [name]Isla[/name]'s who have it as full name.
[name]Ingrid[/name]–Really sound, not over-used, intriguing.
[name]Astrid[/name]–Ditto except it’s hard to get past the “as” sound, but still beautiful.
[name]Anastasia[/name] nn Sia–Pronounced how? Pretty cool, but there will be questions about pronunciation.
[name]Milo[/name] nn Mizzy–Everyone will assume this is a boy. To get to the nn of Mizzy, you’d do better with [name]Mila[/name].
[name]Indigo[/name] nn [name]Indi[/name]–[name]Love[/name] this.
[name]Immy[/name] (mn)–Too fillerish as a mn. Mn’s have the capacity to be amazing rather than cute.
[name]Quinn[/name] (mn)–Ditto. But it will go with nearly everything and has such a great light touch.
[name]Olive[/name] (mn)–This could make any number of first names quite elegant.
[name]Primrose[/name] (mn)–Too prim.
[name]Zelda[/name]–Amazing.
[name]Sinead[/name]–Depending on where you live, it will need to be spelled out for people…
