Suggestions please!

I posted before that we thought we were set on the name [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f] for our daughter due this spring but I am having second thoughts. We’ve started to look at other names but are having the hardest time finding a name that we both love. I do really love [name_f]Faye[/name_f] as a middle name so that would be the middle name as long as it sounds good with the first name. Here are some from our list:

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]: This is probably the only other name we both really like but I’m not sold…it’s cute but I’m not sure if I’m carrying a [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], if that makes sense. Plus I have a harder time picturing it on a middle aged woman.

[name_f]Ailana[/name_f]: Husband loves this but I’m not a fan

[name_f]Lilia[/name_f]: I really like this, he doesn’t. He also doesn’t like [name_f]Lillian[/name_f]/[name_f]Lily[/name_f]. He likes [name_f]Liliana[/name_f] but I’m not keen on the -ana ending names

[name_f]Isla[/name_f]: I love this, he doesn’t

[name_f]Georgina[/name_f]: He likes this but I just think it’s ok

[name_u]Clancy[/name_u]: I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] this name but unfortunately he hates it

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]/[name_f]Audrina[/name_f]: He doesn’t like

[name_f]Nicolette[/name_f]: He really likes this one

I am open to suggestions! I feel like we’ve looked at a million names!

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] – I think this name actually does age well. I only know a few and they are beyond middle aged. That said, I can imagine it just as easily on a small child, twenty-something-year old, or middle-aged.

[name_f]Alana[/name_f], [name_f]Ayla[/name_f], [name_f]Elena[/name_f], [name_f]Eliana[/name_f], [name_f]Alena[/name_f], [name_f]Alma[/name_f], [name_f]Alia[/name_f] ([name_m]Al[/name_m]-yuh) / [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] – all [name_f]Ailana[/name_f] alternatives

Have you considered [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] / [name_f]Lila[/name_f]? It’s something of a combination between [name_f]Isla[/name_f] and [name_f]Lilia[/name_f].

[name_f]Nicolette[/name_f] – before I could stop it Nicorette came to mind.

[name_f]Marguerite[/name_f], [name_f]Malena[/name_f], [name_f]Adeline[/name_f], [name_u]Meredith[/name_u] – all stand ins for [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], though I do enjoy [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f].

Other thoughts off the top o’ my head:

I really like [name_f]Georgina[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f]. I like the rest of your names too. Perhaps pick a top 3 and wait until you meet her? It might be really obvious once she is in your arms.

Unfortunately [name_f]Lila[/name_f] isn’t really usable to us as we live in Germany and [name_f]Lila[/name_f] means purple here. I could bring up alternative spellings but I doubt he would go for it.
