Many of the girls names I am attracted to could be described as “sweet,” “spunky,” “whimsical” or all three. And while there is nothing wrong that, I would really like to add some names that go beyond “little girl spunk” and enter the arena of “grown woman fierce.” Something that is unmistakably feminine but also exudes power. Both classic and modern suggestions are welcome.
Some names that I would associate with a similar image include [name_f]Athena[/name_f], [name_f]Lilith[/name_f], [name_f]Veronica[/name_f], [name_f]Liesl[/name_f], [name_f]Helena[/name_f] and [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f].
Unrelated question: I know [name_f]Athena[/name_f] is gaining some traction, and I have seen [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] used a time or two, but do you think [name_f]Aphrodite[/name_f] could work as a middle name?
[name_f]Cassandra[/name_f]!! means “prophetess” (after greek mythology). [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] herself was clarevoyant and smart and unrelenting in displaying her visions. I know a [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] (Goes by [name_f]Cassie[/name_f]) and she is probably one of the most dedicated and brilliant people I know.
I have actually been thinking about [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] for several years now. My mother’s name is [name_f]Sandra[/name_f], and I like the idea of using [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] to honor her. It feels a little dated to me, but my bigger issue with the name is that [name_f]Cassie[/name_f] seems like an almost inevitable nickname, and I just don’t like [name_f]Cassie[/name_f]. I am entertaining the idea of [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f], nickname [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], though.
I think of [name_f]Merida[/name_f] and [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] as feminine but fierce, and I see you already have those names. I like the suggestions of [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f], [name_f]Fiona[/name_f], [name_f]Greta[/name_f], [name_f]Nadia[/name_f], and [name_f]Freya[/name_f].
