We’re pretty set on Arwen Bell if we have another girl. But these are the names I keep playing around with in my head. Im open to middle name suggestions…
Eliara Faun
Ellia Nyx or Ellia Rune
Emilia Hazel or Emilia Winter
Novella Skye
Averlie Snow
Everly Orchid
Maven Rue or Maven Lark
Morrigan Azura or Morrigan Elyse
I like very rare names from the Medieval period, nature related, spiritual related and ‘poetic’ sounding. Names with character or a history or depth to them. (Names from mythology for example).
Not pregnant. But we’re trying for baby number 2 at the end of the year. We also want 3 children and I like to think about all three names.
I really like [name_f]Arwen[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u], [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u], Averlie [name_f]Snow[/name_f], [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Orchid[/name_f] and [name_f]Morrigan[/name_f] [name_f]Elyse[/name_f].
[name_f]Arwen[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] is lovely! (Though I would spell it ‘[name_f]Belle[/name_f]’ – [name_u]Bell[/name_u] looks incomplete to me, personally.) Also love [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] and [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Orchid[/name_f]! I think they are perfect.
[name_f]Arwen[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] is gorgeous. I agree with @emmamay, [name_u]Bell[/name_u] is more surname to me than [name_f]Belle[/name_f], but it also reminds me of bell hooks and the Brontë sisters’ pen names: Currer, [name_u]Ellis[/name_u] and [name_m]Acton[/name_m] [name_u]Bell[/name_u].
[name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] is another lovely combination, and stands out from the rest of your list.
Similar to Eliara and [name_f]Ellia[/name_f]:
[name_f]Elain[/name_f] (“fawn” in Welsh)
[name_f]Elara[/name_f] (name from Greek mythology and a moon of [name_m]Jupiter[/name_m])
Elentári (“star queen” in Quenya, from Tolkien)
[name_f]Eleusine[/name_f] (Eleusina is an epithet of [name_u]Demeter[/name_u] and [name_f]Persephone[/name_f], deriving from Eleusis, home of the Eleusinian Mysteries; cognate with [name_f]Elysia[/name_f])
Elianthe/Éliante (the heroine in Voltaire’s play The Misanthrope; possibly from Greek helianthos “sun-flower”)
Ellida (from The Lady from the Sea, a play by [name_m]Ibsen[/name_m]; it is a feminine form of [name_f]Elli[/name_f]ði meaning “fast-sailing ship” in Old Norse)
[name_f]Eluned[/name_f]
[name_f]Elysia[/name_f]
