Trying for baby #3 and getting excited over finding the perfect sibset addition! Help!
We have an Amelia Louise and a Sullivan Jack. (Millie and Sully) SO excited to consider naming another child again but am so nervous we wont find something we both LOVE.
I’m from the UK and live in the US (hubby is from here) my style is traditional and still playful. Ideally ends in something different than “a” or “n”. I’d like our future names to be less top 10 in popularity (like Sullivan), and still remain familiar and professional somehow. We love the use of nicknames and names that still sound good in both accents (harder than you think )
So far our top picks are Penelope for a girl and Fitzwilliam for a boy. (Obviously not everyones style) but are we missing something we’d love more?
Any thoughts?
Especially love [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] (specifically Elise), and [name_f]Margo[/name_f] for girls and [name_u]Jasper[/name_u] for a boy
I love “Smith” (and how it’s another last name for first) but what do you think of [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] and [name_m]Smith[/name_m] together? On the same line, how would you rate [name_u]Spencer[/name_u]? (Also on my list).
i think [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] works wonderfully with [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and Sullivan!!
[name_f]Calliope[/name_f]
[name_u]Merritt[/name_u]
Solette
[name_u]Romilly[/name_u]
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u]
[name_f]Celeste[/name_f]
I really love [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] and [name_m]Smith[/name_m] together,I’m a big fan of last names as first names,oh I really love Spencer,especially with [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u]
I’m so glad! I LOVE [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] but a few people have turned their nose up at it being used with [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u]. (Plus my OH is trying to veto it for personal reasons )
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u]! Both great names. [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] or Fitzwiliam would both fit nicely. Another [name_m]Fitz[/name_m] name I love is [name_m]Fitzgerald[/name_m] or even [name_m]Fitzpatrick[/name_m].
[name_f]Millie[/name_f] & [name_u]Sully[/name_u] are so cute! [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] is perfect for a little sister. I don’t mind [name_m]Fitzwilliam[/name_m]. It’s not my style, but it’s interesting. Cute nn options too.
[name_m]Hi[/name_m]!
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] is definitely way up there on my list these days so having other people mention it is reassuring. (I love the nn [name_f]Bea[/name_f] too).
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f] i love- it’s just v similar to my daughters middle name- [name_u]Louise[/name_u].
And [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is a top contender for a middle. Thank you for your suggestions!
[name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] is adorable and I hadn’t thought of that one yet. And [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] is on my radar. For some reason i find it so much harder to fall in love with boys names than girls!
What’s your take on previous mention of [name_u]Spencer[/name_u]? Too much with [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u], or does it work?
I don’t think that [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] is too close to [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u]. They’re cute for brothers. And [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] is a good example of a name that is well known & simple but not popular. It’s not my personal favorite. I think it sounds kind of snarky.
