Sullivan Fynn? Too trendy?

I need to chill because we have a good 30 weeks to figure out a name still. :joy:

But does [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] [name_m]Fynn[/name_m] sound like it has the potential to ~feel~ too trendy in a few years?

I don’t know why, but it seems like a combo that you’d see Instagram influencers using or something, if that makes sense.

Would also love to hear middle name suggestions that flow well with [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u]. I call our first by his full name many times a day, so want something that flows well when spoken.

I think it feels trendy but only in the sense that it’s fashionable and cool! I wouldn’t say it’s the kind of trendy where it’ll feel overused or outdated in ten years, since [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] is just outside the top 350 most popular names in the US, and is rarer in [name_u]England[/name_u]. It has been on the rise, but in a slow enough pace that I don’t see it ever getting uber popular and becoming “the next Ashley/Emily/Aiden”, if you know what I mean!

[name_u]Finn[/name_u] (spelled like this) is quite a trendy name, so it is one that I could maybe see getting tied to this era a bit. Maybe [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] could be an alternative for you! [name_u]Or[/name_u] you could always use a more classic/traditional timeless middle name, if the combo feeling too “instagram-y” is something that really concerns you.

I think you’ll be okay but definitely get the worry! [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] did spike in popularity last year however…

Other suggestions (unsure if you want common or unusual so there’s both lol):

Alliterative:

[name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] [name_m]Xavier[/name_m] (probably my favorite)

Hopefully these help!

I like it and don’t think it’s too trendy. How about [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] [name_u]John[/name_u]?

Never come across [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] as I name before tbh but I like it. [name_u]Sully[/name_u] is a cute nickname too. I think maybe go very classic with the middle so [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] is my suggestion.

[name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] [name_m]Fynn[/name_m] does seem trendy but I don’t think it will be seen as too trendy in a few years.

Middle name suggestions: [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] [name_m]Felix[/name_m], [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] [name_u]Noah[/name_u], [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] [name_u]Robin[/name_u], [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] [name_u]Theo[/name_u]

Okay, [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] [name_m]Fynn[/name_m] is the sort of name that you might seen on IG - however, it’s not a one hit wonder kind of name. [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] feels established, surname-y and in that way classic. [name_m]Fynn[/name_m] is zippy and fresh, and together they are ‘on trend’ but as I say, it’s not one that I feel will date badly.
