I’d love your opinion on the name Sunday for a girl please. What does it make you think of? What kind of vibe/personality do you envisage when you hear it or see it? Is it too out there?
My daughter (Zara) and I have fallen in love with it, but my husband isn’t quite on board yet. Middle name would be Rose.
Sunday Rose *edited to add - I still love this middle name, however a couple of berries have pointed out there’s a famous celeb with a child called Sunday Rose so this one has been put to the side for now!
New favourite combo - Sunday Blair
I’ve also added a poll in case people would prefer not to give reasons.
I love it. [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is beautiful.
[name_f]My[/name_f] only fear is that [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] tends to pop up in conversations easily (when discussing days), so there is a chance she could get confused.
@DSZG13 [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] is honestly one of my most favorite names!it is so joyful to me. I think of a spunky and kind little girl who knows what she wants, and isn’t afraid to ask for it, loves to have fun, but is gentle and gracious.
I think Sunday is beautiful such a warm name with a sweet peaceful bohemian flair. I love the nickname Sunny with sweet imagery attached she reminds me of summer, lemon trees, sunflowers, cloudy lemonade and bright yellow colours. She’s gorgeous. I also love her with Zar@.
I’m just not keen on Rose paired with Sunday. Firstly I absolutely love Rose however where I am we have Sunday Roast so all I hear is Sunday Roast so I just feel that the names together don’t work. But this is an English girl speaking outside of England I think the name would work just fine. It depends where you are! Also Nicole Kidman’s daughter has this name just on a side note! I think if it was me I would go Sunday Rosalind, Sunday Rosamund, Sunday Rosalba or Sunday Rosalia just to take away the ‘roast’ association.
I didn’t even think of the [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] Roast association …we are in [name_m]Scotland[/name_m] so we call it ‘Sunday dinner’ but yes, that’s a very valid point!
I also didn’t know about [name_f]Nicole[/name_f] Kidman’s daughter’s name so I will definitely rethink the middle!
Ahhh my dad was born in [name_m]Glasgow[/name_m]! Gotta love [name_m]Scotland[/name_m] 🏴
Honestly I strongly hear [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] roast when I hear this name so I would rethink the middle name. But yep [name_f]Nicole[/name_f] Kidman used this name. I love [name_f]Nicole[/name_f] Kidman children’s names they are [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] + [name_f]Faith[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] such pretty names.
Good luck! I think your onto a winner with [name_f]Sunday[/name_f]
I was going to say similar to @tori101: love the name [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] - it’s such a warm, happy name, obviously a little bold too, and gives you so many good nicknames (Sunny, [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], Suki) - but wouldn’t choose [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] (partly because [name_f]Nicole[/name_f] Kidman chose exactly the same name but mostly because she got a lot of online teasing for [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] Roast - compounded by the fact that she did a famous lamb roast ad here in Oz). There are a lot of names you probaby can’t use with [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] (eg [name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_f]Hope[/name_f], [name_f]Lou[/name_f] etc). What about: [name_f]Carys[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Inès[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Polly[/name_f], [name_f]Anne[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f], [name_f]Elise[/name_f], [name_m]Bly[/name_m], [name_f]Estelle[/name_f], [name_f]Tess[/name_f], [name_f]Laura[/name_f]? [name_f]Belle[/name_f] could work but possibly too much a filler?
