I need help finding surnames for a group of vampire hunters, they’re high schoolers.

The names of the vampiresses they will fight are [name_u]Bryn[/name_u] Ivanovich and [name_f]Mathilda[/name_f] Cromwell!

Quick question: I’m assuming that [name_u]Bryn[/name_u] Ivanovich is a girl. But if she is a girl, why is her middle name Ivanovich? That is a Russian patronymic name, meaning “son of [name_m]Ivan[/name_m]”. If she were Russian (which [name_u]Bryn[/name_u] doesn’t suggest) than her name would be [name_u]Bryn[/name_u] Ivanovna. Why Ivanovich?
