Help with surprise baby #4 due in August. We always wait to find out what the baby is. Crew is 6, Our daughter Emerson Elizabeth is 5, & Bode Ransom is 1.
I’ve been thinking of Greer for either gender. What does everyone think? I know it’s a rare name that people usually either love or hate. Is it hard to pronounce?
Greer Addison (after my sister?) or Greer Catherine? (After my grandma)
For a boy, Greer William (after my dad)?
Give me all thoughts and other first or middle name suggestions too. I’m open!
If Bode was a girl he was going to be Collins Kaye (Kaye after grandma) which I still like but I’m
not in love.
I LOVE Greer!! I went to school with one when I was young and I was always jealous of her name. It was super pretty and different without being super out there. It’s also a really beautiful location in my state, so I associate it with a sweet & quiet forest town

Though I admit I think the sounds in the combo [name_u]Collins[/name_u] [name_u]Kaye[/name_u] run into each other a bit. Maybe [name_u]Collins[/name_u] [name_f]Faye[/name_f]? Similar but with a twist?
Also, [name_u]Greer[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m] is nice too, but I personally prefer the [name_u]Grier[/name_u] spelling for boys
That makes me so happy!! I love [name_u]Greer[/name_u], but sometimes I second guess myself. I struggle with the other spelling, [name_u]Grier[/name_u], because I like it but also am afraid people will mispronounce it as Gry-er. I struggled so much with the spelling of Bode’s name to spell it [name_m]Bode[/name_m] or [name_u]Bodhi[/name_u]. I couldn’t do a made up spelling like [name_m]Bodie[/name_m] and there’s really no good way to spell it So everyone will pronounce it correctly.
I know both [name_u]Grier[/name_u] and [name_u]Greer[/name_u] are legitimate spellings, I figured [name_u]Greer[/name_u] was the easier to recognize. I’ll look into the other spelling too though. Thank you for your feedback!!

Yes yes yes to [name_u]Greer[/name_u]! It’s one of those rare names that has softness that makes for a lovely, unisex name for female, yet strength that I see it has a solid name for male. I absolutely love it for either gender! It fits perfectly in your sibling group, as each sibling has their own initial. I do like [name_u]Collins[/name_u], but don’t love the similarity with [name_m]Crew[/name_m]. And i personally much prefer [name_u]Greer[/name_u] over [name_u]Collins[/name_u]. [name_u]Greer[/name_u] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] or [name_u]Greer[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m], look no further!
