So my sister’s shortlist of girl’s names consist of “[name_f]Cozette[/name_f]” and “Acabella” Her current middle names are " [name_f]Cozette[/name_f] [name_u]Madison[/name_u]" and “Acabella [name_f]Rose[/name_f]” but of course I thought it would be kind of neat to ask for different middle names for these names to see what she likes, especially considering my sister is unmarried and her s/o might not like her middle names. So suggestions?
[name_f]Cozette[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]
I’m totally confused by Acabella. is it a hard C or a soft c?
[name_f]Cosette[/name_f] is pretty. [name_u]Madison[/name_u] and Acabella are not.
[name_f]Cosette[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Cosette[/name_f] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Cosette[/name_f] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]
[name_f]Cosette[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
[name_f]Cosette[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
It’s pronounced with an s sound, which thinking about it isn’t grammatically accurate in the English language, generally. Honestly, she randomly came up with it because she’s been trying to come up with names that fit with her favourite name, [name_u]Acey[/name_u], which sounds too much like a nn. (I suggested [name_f]Acacia[/name_f] but she doesn’t like that)
I did not ask your opinion on the name, just for different names in the case that she gets married, and has two daughters, and her s/o doesn’t like the other mn suggestions. Also, you can’t change the opinion of the person who is not the user of the names anyway. Actually, I personally feel like [name_f]Cosette[/name_f] is an awful name to name a child inho, and I like [name_u]Madison[/name_u] and her pronunciation of Acabella. But my opinion doesn’t matter to her either.
Anyway, [name_f]Cozette[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is cute. The other names sound too dated to me, but I’ll ask her opinion! Thanks.
I kind of like the idea of [name_m]Ace[/name_m] as a middle name, which would be one way to get [name_u]Acey[/name_u] as a nickname. It’s alliterative, but borrowing from your signature, [name_f]Adabella[/name_f] [name_m]Ace[/name_m] is a cute combination. I don’t quite understand the question or why it matters whether she’s married or not, but that’s my suggestion!
She’s not planning on actually having kids until she gets married, and so no one actually knows if the s/o will veto her actual names, so I thought if in case, I could have a list ready to show her. Pfft, I’m trying to look like a good little sister, lol.
I like that idea, actually. I’ll hint at it. [name_m]Ace[/name_m] sounds like a really cool mn. I might like my own birth name much better if it were mine.
Some other possible ways to get to [name_m]Ace[/name_m]…I don’t think the spelling has to match as long as there’s some semblance of the [name_m]Ace[/name_m] sound:
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_f]Gracie[/name_f], [name_f]Gracelynn[/name_f]
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f], [name_f]Maisie[/name_f]
[name_f]Francesca[/name_f]
[name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f] (has a-c-e in it)
[name_u]Asa[/name_u] (typically a boy name but could work)
Otherwise Asabella so ppl might say ay-sabella instead of ah-kah-bella. [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] but with an A.
I second the suggestion of [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] to get to [name_m]Ace[/name_m], and if it’s [name_u]Acey[/name_u] she’s after, while not name a girl [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_f]Cosette[/name_f], initials A.C. --> [name_u]Acey[/name_u]
Anyway, if I were to give [name_f]Cosette[/name_f] a middle name, I would go for [name_f]Cosette[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], which I think someone else suggested. I would spell it Asabella (since [name_u]Asa[/name_u] is an actual name prn. ace-uh) and use a simple middle name like Asabella [name_f]Jane[/name_f].
I think it’s worth warning your sister that if a forum of name lovers can’t pronounce Acabella, the real world won’t be able to either.
Yeah, [name_m]Ah[/name_m]-kah-bella sounds gross, like there’s something stuck in my throat because of the Ack sound. I don’t think she’d use [name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f] because it’s our Grandma’s name, but I can’t be sure. I think she’d like [name_f]Gracelynn[/name_f] because it’s similar to [name_u]Shea[/name_u]-[name_f]Marie[/name_f], another one of her fav combinations Thank you.
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] is a cute name, and it sounds adorable with [name_f]Cozette[/name_f] as a middle name. Though the nickname would be hard to explain to teachers if she uses it in school as well as the house. I like it, though. I’ll suggest it too. (Asabella [name_f]Jane[/name_f] sounds cute too)
