Susan

Is there anyone else on here that actually likes the name [name]Susan[/name]? I know that many of you think it’s too boring/outdated, but for some reason I like it. [name]Susan[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] (yes, I know it’s very plain) is one of the combos on my list.

I [name]ADORE[/name] the name [name]Susan[/name]!! I wish MY name was [name]Susan[/name]. I don’t see it as the least bit boring. I see it as an elegant, underused classic

I have a daughter, [name]Rebecca[/name], and if by some miracle, I have a second daughter, I plan to name her [name]Susannah[/name].

[name]Susan[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] is a beautiful name!!!

I like [name]Susan[/name] and [name]Suzanne[/name] both a lot. Sadly know a couple too many Sues in the family and close circle to use it ourselves.

[name]Susan[/name] sounds wonderfully cheerful to me. It’s one of those names that’s so familiar, it almost doesn’t occur to you to use it, but then when you stop to pay attention, you realize how awfully pretty it is. What’s particularly great about [name]Susan[/name] is that it doesn’t carry a lot of baggage; it can go anywhere and be anyone. I don’t really understand people thinking it’s dated; to me [name]Susan[/name] is the quintessential timeless name. It reminds me somewhat of [name]Julia[/name], but [name]Susan[/name] is a lot more bubbly, though no less polished.

[name]Susan[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] is classic and beautiful.

I think it’s a great name, and every [name]Susan[/name] I know is wonderful! (And I know it’s not [name]Susan[/name], but [name]Susannah[/name] is one of my favorite names.)

The name [name]Susan[/name] sounds so sweet and gentle to me, not to mention peaceful and warm, and I love [name]Elizabeth[/name], too.

I remember hearing about the woman who had a sex change (known by the media as the “pregnant man”) giving birth to a baby girl named [name]Susan[/name] [name]Juliette[/name], I thought the baby’s name was beautiful and so refreshing! I loved hearing [name]Susan[/name] on a baby!

I only know of one little [name]Susan[/name] (actually, she’s a teenager now), and she’s darling.

I’d love to meet a baby [name]Susan[/name]!

Take care!

I really like the name [name]Susan[/name]!! I think it could easily become fresh again, and now that it’s no longer popular, it could make a sweet, distinctive voice. I also like [name]Susannah[/name] equally. For some reason I don’t like [name]Suzanne[/name] at all though. [name]Susie[/name] is a cute NN! A similiar name is [name]Tamsin[/name].

I’m not in love with [name]Susan[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name], because both names share that z/s-pronounced-as-a-z sound. I think a MN ending in A could be really pretty with [name]Susan[/name]. The MN probably shouldn’t have too many Ns or Ss. What about [name]Susan[/name] [name]Georgia[/name], [name]Susan[/name] [name]Ivy[/name], [name]Susan[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name] (breaking my own rule I know), [name]Susan[/name] [name]Penelope[/name], [name]Susan[/name] [name]Amelia[/name], [name]Susan[/name] [name]Colette[/name], [name]Susan[/name] [name]Sylvia[/name] (alliteration aside), or [name]Susan[/name] [name]Clara[/name]?

[name]EDIT[/name]: [name]Jill[/name], I love [name]Susan[/name] [name]Juliette[/name]!!

I like it. She will have a dignified name and cute nn. She will also probably be the only [name]Susan[/name], but have a name that is recognizable.

I think it is a beautiful choice!!! While I do like Susanah a bit more, [name]Susan[/name] is elegant and timeless!

My name is [name]Susan[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] so of course I like it!
Growing up with this name has been wonderful - wouldn’t dream of changing it!

I’m also a [name]Susan[/name] and I have always been quiet proud of my name.I loved the post which described [name]Susan[/name] as being a gentle, simple beautiful name because that description suits me to a tee(not very modest of me)!! I definitely prefer my name to [name]Suzanne[/name](sorry to any out there) but [name]Susannah[/name] has a lot going for it.So to anyone who says [name]Susan[/name] is boring think again because it’s just the type of name that could start climbing any time soon.

I love the name [name]Susan[/name], and it’s my name. I would choose [name]Susannah[/name] over [name]Susan[/name] right now. [name]Susannah[/name] is more gently old-fashioned, and that’s what is in style. [name]Love[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name], too!

I think [name]Susan[/name] has a very cheerful, appealing sound. Out of the “dated” names, [name]Susan[/name] is probably my favorite. I prefer [name]Susanna/name, though. I remember that when I was younger (third grade, I think), my friends and I were discussing middle names. Since I didn’t (and still don’t) have one, they were all trying to come up with a middle name for me. I think some of the suggestions included [name]Susan[/name], [name]Karen[/name], and [name]Sharon[/name]. My favorite was [name]Susan[/name], but it doesn’t really flow well with my first name. Sorry for the completely random story!

I think [name]Susan[/name] is lovely. Although, like many others, I prefer [name]Susannah[/name], [name]Susan[/name] itself is great. It’s simple, classic and yet very pretty. Not overly frilly, but still feminine. It would be a great choice.

Oh! And to the person above me, [name]Rebecca[/name] and [name]Susannah[/name] are adorable! Reminds me of [name]Rebecca[/name] of Sunnybrook Farms.

I know I’m biased but I think I prefer my own name [name]Susan[/name] to [name]Susannah[/name].[name]Susan[/name] is like someone said a timeless classic which I would compare to other names suchas [name]Laura[/name],[name]Catherine[/name],[name]Helen[/name] etc. ie names which will never sound tired or dull.So a big thumbs up for all Susans!!!

I prefer [name]Susannah[/name] to [name]Susan[/name]. I also just heard [name]Suzette[/name] recently and thought that it was kind of a cool name

I think it is cool that you are choosing something different. [name]Uber[/name] cool.
