I voted for [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Joy[/name]. I think they’re both lovely names, but [name]Susannah[/name] is less common than super-popular [name]Olivia[/name] which tipped the scales for me.

[name]Olivia[/name] [name]Jane[/name] is beautiful!

An official endorsement for [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Joy[/name]. [name]Susannah[/name] is a personal favorite of mine and is so much more distinctive than [name]Olivia[/name] while carrying the same history and tradition and vintage charm. Though I think [name]Olivia[/name] is a lovely name, as a top 5 now any little [name]Olivia[/name] will meet many others throughout her lifetime while [name]Susannah[/name] is much more unusual yet familiar at the same time. Honestly, to me, no contest!

I agree with [name]Pam[/name] - my vote goes to [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Joy[/name]!

I voted for [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Joy[/name] - it’s simply gorgeous. [name]Olivia[/name] [name]Jane[/name] is very popular (I know countless [name]Olivia[/name]'s and NO [name]Susannah[/name]'s) whereas [name]Susannah[/name] is more uncommon - it’s prettier too imo.

Thanks, ladies! [name]Pam[/name] thanks so much for chiming in!! O.K. so would you go with [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Joy[/name] or [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Jane[/name]???
I knew my gut was right with [name]Susannah[/name]! =0)

I really like both but my pick would be [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Jane[/name]

[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Joy[/name] by miles (I’ve just never liked O names and [name]Susannah[/name] has so definite charm and spunk to her).

Thanks for the thanks. And since we now have another choices, definitely [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Jane[/name]!

I love [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Joy[/name]! Classic but not too popular, feminine but grounded, lots of nickname options if you wanted to go down that road … just fantastic.

I also love [name]Jane[/name], but for several very minor reasons prefer [name]Joy[/name]:

  1. I think that combination has better flow - just avoids having to repeat the Ns close together.
  2. [name]Susannah[/name] is such a classic, I feel like with the vintage [name]Joy[/name], the whole combination gets that Classic Vintage feel, whereas with ultimate-classic-[name]Jane[/name] the whole combination becomes Sturdy Classic, and the former is just that bit more exciting.
  3. The upbeat religious connotations of [name]Joy[/name] are just so darn lovely.

Good luck!
[name]Auburn[/name]

[name]Auburn[/name]- thank you for that breakdown. That is exactly how I feel. I love [name]Jane[/name], but honestly like the SOUND of [name]Olivia[/name] [name]Jane[/name] more than [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Jane[/name] (most likely b/c of the N situation, to me the flow of [name]Olivia[/name] [name]Jane[/name] is much prettier than that of [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Jane[/name])… Where as, I [name]LOVE[/name] the SOUND of [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Joy[/name], the flow, and quite frankly it sounds sing songy to me =0) and yes, I do like the upbeat, religious quality I feel [name]Joy[/name] has… plus it is prehaps a little off beat and maybe a little less expected.

I don’t know…I would love to use [name]Jane[/name] to give somewhat of a namesake to my hubby who is [name]Giovanni[/name], I just don’t know that I am going to love it with [name]Susannah[/name].I mean do you sacrafice [name]Susannah[/name] to get to [name]Jane[/name] with [name]Olivia[/name],( b/c I do like the sound of [name]Olivia[/name] [name]Jane[/name], and both DH and I love the NN Livi, but I like [name]Susannah[/name] for so many more reasons…)???
