Susannah's Middle Name

I’m proud to announce that DH is allowing me to use [name]Susannah[/name]! But now…the middle name. I’ve been writing down combos that come to mind and I wanted to share them, get feedback, and suggestions. We want to go with two middle names but its hard because [name]Susannah[/name] ends in that -a sound. Here they are-

[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Helena[/name] [name]Mae[/name]
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Winifred[/name] [name]June[/name]
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Joan[/name] [name]Louise[/name]
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Auden[/name] Lark

[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Corinne[/name] (after my Mom)
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Louise[/name]
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] (after my Grandma)
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Iris[/name]

Any ideas/criticism? Our son’s middle name is after my husbands side so [name]Susannah[/name] will be after mine.

Also, I think we might call her [name]Sosie[/name], yay or nay?

[name]Susannah[/name] is a beautiful name! The nn [name]Sosie[/name] is really cute. Zannah also works well.
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Helena[/name] [name]Mae[/name] – You are right about the two mn’s being tough because [name]Susannah[/name] ends in “a”. Because of that, this combo doesn’t flow well for me.
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Winifred[/name] [name]June[/name] – This one flows well and I love [name]Susannah[/name] [name]June[/name], but I just don’t like [name]Winifred[/name]. [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Elodie[/name] [name]June[/name]?
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Joan[/name] [name]Louise[/name] – [name]Joan[/name] and [name]Louise[/name] both make this combo sound a little too “old lady” for me.
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Auden[/name] [name]Lark[/name] – Wow. This is perfection! [name]Auden[/name] and [name]Lark[/name] are gorgeous and they flow beautifully with [name]Susannah[/name].

[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Corinne[/name] (after my Mom) – I love the flow of this one!
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Louise[/name] – I don’t really like the alliteration of this one.
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] (after my Grandma) – Very pretty!
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Iris[/name] – Again, not keen on the alliteration.

Other ideas:
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Adelaide[/name]
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Adelaide[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Corinne[/name] [name]Marie[/name]
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Corinne[/name] [name]Eve[/name]
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Auden[/name] [name]Louise[/name]

I love [name]Susannah[/name]! [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] is my favorite - how about [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] [name]Corinne[/name]?

My favorite is [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Corinne[/name]. It just flows PERFECTLY. It’s fun to say! What better person to honor than your mother, and what better way to honor her than by giving her the middle name alone, all to herself, not shared with a second middle name. Also, [name]Sosie[/name] is AWESOME and adorable! If you went with [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Corinne[/name], perhaps she could also get “[name]Sosie[/name] [name]Rin[/name].”

I feel like two middle names is too much name and detracts from the beauty of the first name. Instead of drawing people’s attention to the carefully-chosen “[name]Susannah[/name],” it just gives people a list of names to memorize. Also, with the length of [name]Susannah[/name] in terms of letter count and syllable count, I feel as though two middle names might over-do it.

I love [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Corinne[/name], that is the best for me

[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Joan[/name] [name]Louise[/name] is my favorite from the 2 middles, but I vastly prefer just [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Corrine[/name].

Also, a big YAY to [name]Sosie[/name]. My husband and I are considering the same name/nickname.

[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Corinne[/name] and [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Winifred[/name] [name]June[/name] are both stunning. I lean toward [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Corinne[/name], as [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Winifred[/name] does feel a bit weighty (but still gorgeous!).

[name]How[/name] wonderful that you plan to use [name]Susannah[/name] ! I’m happy for you! It will be so special for her middle name to be after your mother or grandmother. I love both [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Corinne[/name] and [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]. All things being equal, I would lean towards honoring your mother. Go with the one you most wish to honor or the one to whom it would bring the most joy.

P.S. I totally agree with these comments by “alzora.” She hit the nail on the head.

Another vote for [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Corinne[/name]!! I love it!

[name]Susannah[/name] and [name]Charlie[/name] are an adorable duo. Of your combinations, I really like [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Winifred[/name] [name]June[/name] and [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]. [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Joan[/name] [name]Louise[/name] has a bit of a weird flow when I say it. If I could mix and match with your names, [name]Susannah[/name] Larke sounds darling. As for the nickname, [name]Sosie[/name] is perfect. So much fresher than [name]Susie[/name] or [name]Anna[/name]. Good luck!

I love [name]Susannah[/name]. I agree with the posters who said that two middle names detracts from the beauty of the first name. Of your four choices for one middle name, I … like them all. My favorite is probably [name]Corinne[/name] - that’s my personal favorite, so I’m biased - and my second favorite is [name]Iris[/name], even with an initial vowel. I think all four are lovely.

Well, my vote is for [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] for obvious reasons. (LOL!) [name]Pearl[/name] is also after my grandmother; it was her middle name. [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] is a very nostalgic, homegrown sounding name. I love it!

[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Augusta[/name] or [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Allegra[/name].

My full name is [name]Theresa[/name] [name]Irene[/name] [name]Anne[/name] and I don’t think having two mn detracts from my also-3-syllable, carefully chosen name. I actually like all of your 2 mn combos!

@sunshine - I don’t think you know what alliteration means!
