[name]Hi[/name] there.
On my search for the best first name to go with [name]Veronica[/name] in the middle, I have found [name]Suzanne[/name] (French pronunciation, stress on last syllable) to fit the bill. Short forms of the name are top 85-110 at the moment where I live. Those are possible nick names. FYI last name start with K. Sounds like K.ennedy.
I am told that in the USA people consider it dated due to 50’s and 60’s [name]Susan[/name]. What do you berries think of this combo however? Could you picture a baby with this name? [name]Just[/name] fyi I am not going to use [name]Susanna/name [name]Veronica[/name], because I do not want two a-endings. Comments from around the globe are welcome.
Yes, [name]Suzanne[/name] has a dated feel to me (in the US), but I still like it. [name]Susanna[/name] is my fav, but I see the problem with it combined with [name]Veronica[/name]. [name]Suzanne[/name] [name]Veronica[/name] is pretty. Are you liking the nns for [name]Suzanne[/name]? Is that the appeal for you? Or are you purely looking for a nice sound with [name]Veronica[/name]? Other -[name]Anne[/name] ending names could work, like [name]Julianne[/name] [name]Veronica[/name] or [name]Arianne[/name] [name]Veronica[/name]. Or maybe a different name entirely, like [name]Madeleine[/name] [name]Veronica[/name] or [name]Katherine[/name] [name]Veronica[/name]?
Good points you are making!
[name]Veronica[/name] is a must have in the middle and I like the following about the name [name]Suzanne[/name]:
The S factor (we both have first names and nick names with an S-sound in them, [name]Lucille[/name] or [name]Lucienne[/name] was once a contender)
The -ne ending ([name]Helene[/name] was once a contender)
The meaning (a hidden floral just like [name]Veronica[/name]) is a bonus, not a must.
[name]Julianne[/name] is a lovely suggestion, but [name]Julia[/name] is a top 3 name around here and I do like [name]Julie[/name], but would miss the S sound somewhere in the name. [name]Juliette[/name] was suggested too, when I posted before. Sounds great together with [name]Veronica[/name] but a little too frilly for my liking.
[name]Madeleine[/name] (love it, but would lack a short form I love as much and our last name is already 3 syl. and [name]Veronica[/name] 4.)
[name]Katherine[/name] is NMS.
[name]Hope[/name] this helps.
Perhaps I am the only one, but I have always liked [name]Susan[/name] and it’s variants. I see [name]Susan[/name] as a sophisticated, delightful, and very pretty name! I had the name [name]Susanna[/name] lined up for a future daughter. Nowadays, [name]Suzanne[/name] would be an unexpected choice, and, personally, I like it very much.
