Swashbuckling names?

I’ve realized lately that a couple of my favorite boys’ combos (like [name_u]Avery[/name_u] [name_m]Ignatius[/name_m] [name_m]Jack[/name_m] and [name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m] [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] [name_m]Jack[/name_m]!) feel very swashbuckling and heroic to me. Like I could see them as a fifth musketeer, on a pirate ship, as [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] [name_m]Holmes[/name_m]'s second side-kick, or as [name_m]Edmond[/name_m] Dantes’s little-known co-conspirator.

I’ve been hoping to add to this style on my list, so I’m hoping I can find more names like this. Any ideas for other names that come across as swashbuckling, heroic, and adventurous? I’m not sure I want to go as far as [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] (although I may yet go for [name_m]Aramis[/name_m], if I can find the right combo!), but I’m sort of hitting a wall as far as inspiration goes.

[name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] is the first thing that makes me think of swashbuckling.

@aillidh - thank you! [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] does strike me as incredibly dashing and swashbuckling, too.
@mickie86 - I love the character of D’artagnan, so I wished that I liked the name–it just seems a little bit too one-person, if that makes sense? I do love [name_m]Aramis[/name_m] and [name_m]Alexandre[/name_m], though. I’ve been looking for a combo for [name_m]Alexandre[/name_m], but haven’t come up with anything as of yet.
@mas - I like [name_m]Rainer[/name_m]/[name_m]Rainier[/name_m] a lot! The others don’t strike me as too swashbuckling, though, for some reason.
@saccarabird - thank you so much! I’d never thought of [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] as swashbuckling until now, but it kind of is! Especially with [name_m]Prince[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]. I already have [name_m]Zane[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] on my list, though, so maybe he fits in with [name_u]Avery[/name_u] [name_m]Ignatius[/name_m] [name_m]Jack[/name_m] and [name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m] [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] [name_m]Jack[/name_m] as swashbuckling, pirate-fighting, sword-wielding heroes? :slight_smile:

@milligan219 - thank you! You’re not the first one to mention [name_m]Edward[/name_m]–I never really saw him as swashbuckling, but I guess I can sort of see it now? I adore [name_u]Everett[/name_u]–he’s my second choice should I ever have a boy–but I don’t think my combo ([name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_m]Joshua[/name_m] [name_m]Charles[/name_m]) sounds very swashbuckling, haha. I like [name_u]Mercer[/name_u], [name_m]Phineas[/name_m], [name_m]Rhett[/name_m], [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u], [name_m]Sylvan[/name_m], [name_u]Urban[/name_u], and [name_m]Wilder[/name_m], too! I haven’t really considered them for me, even though I found them likeable, so I’ll have to give them a second thought.
