What are people’s thoughts on the Swedish name Åsa (pronounced aw-suh)?
I’ve kind of slowly but surely fallen in love with it!
I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] IT! And have it as a potential middle name as my trepidation is that it loses some of its appeal ([name_f]IMO[/name_f]) without the sort of clipped “suh” that comes with Swedish pronunciation / accent.
Like it better than [name_f]Ada[/name_f] or [name_f]Ava[/name_f]. It’s very pretty. Like.
I love it, but I don’t think its a good idea to use outside of Scandinavia, because of the obvious mispronunciation.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] it, but it will inevitably be pronounced as A-Sah, which I actually like!
Probably will be mispronounced outside of Europe.
