Someone just posted a poll about [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and the idea of a savory name combined with a sweet name popped into my mind.
Personally, [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] is a little too fortune-tellery for me to use and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is a little too common and sweet, but the combination of zest and innocence strikes me as delicious. [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]… I love it!
Wondering what other combos we harbor with the sweet/savory theme?
I’ve seen someone on here post the combo [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] and for me that’s the perfect savoury-sweet name (in this case in that order). I love names with this kind of mix!
Me too. I remember decades ago at a writing festival in Iowa a woman sharing that she had named her baby [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] (long before either were popular in US) because after [name_m]Dante[/name_m], her daughter needed some I [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f].
I totally don’t understand the sweet savory concept even after reading these combos… I think I get sweet, but savory? Hmmm… I have thought about warm and cold before!
Everyone is interpreting it their own way which is fine.
What started me was [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] combo. [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] is not a sweet name; it is more zesty and strong and bold. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is definitely sweet and not zesty and bold. The combo of the two appeals to me.
