Sweetly speaking...

So I came across the name [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f] and thought the meaning was beautiful. I wanted to know what you ladies think of this hidden gem?

Soft, whimsy, and spunky. Feels summery to me. I think it’s charming!

I like it, but wish I can like it even more. It’s sounds sweet and melodical.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] it a lot! It’s currently on my shortlist for middle names (with great meanings). I’d adore it if I saw it used.

All I can think of is ukulele. A bit too weird for me

I really like it! It’s got such a soft yet lively sound, and a beautiful meaning as you say. The only problem would be that there are a few possible pronunciations in English.

It’s pronounced “you-lay-lee”, correct? I’ll agree with @kylae87 in that it reminds me of ukulele. However, I don’t think it is a bad name. It definitely has a melody and charm to it. For some reason, I can see it working better as a middle name than a first, but that’s just me.

I adore [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f]!

I always think about how kids tease and like to “make fun” of kids names. Not sure I’d want to take a chance with a name that had “U” “a” and “lie” in it.

Oh wow, didn’t even think of that!

I like it in theory but while I adore [name_f]Eulalia[/name_f], [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f] sounds off to me, at least in English. It’s a little too soft in sound for me, the lay-lee part is too sweet and a little too sing-songy and I generally feel that the sound doesn’t match the vibe the spelling gives off. It actually doesn’t feel very name like to me (in English).
And like others mentioned, it also reminds me of ukulele.

I love [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f]! It’s so cute and girly but I’d possibly more likely use it in the middle.

I can see why some people might find it a bit cutsey but it’s in a similar vein to [name_f]Ophelie[/name_f], [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f], [name_f]Nephele[/name_f], [name_f]Athene[/name_f], [name_f]Aurelie[/name_f] etc. These are all names I love btw, so I guess it’s just down to personal preference.

I see what you mean. [name_f]Eulalia[/name_f] has a more realistic sound.

I think it’s pretty. It flows off the tongue easier than [name_f]Eulalia[/name_f].

I like it but slightly prefer [name_f]Eulalia[/name_f]. I think it a great underused name.
