Swithun, Struan, and Valerian

I’ve noticed these three fresh-sounding male names appearing together on nameberry (in the “People who liked x also like y” section).

Apparently I one of these x/y people, because I see them all the time and am drawn to them every time.

They would not top my list currently, but I would love to meet men with these names.

They sound heroic without being ridiculous, if you know what I mean. As wonderful as [name_m]Perseus[/name_m], [name_m]Pericles[/name_m], [name_m]Flavius[/name_m], and [name_m]Tiberius[/name_m] are, they are just a bit much to wear. “[name_m]Perseus[/name_m], stop picking your nose”, “[name_m]Pericles[/name_m], clean your room”, “[name_m]Flavius[/name_m], please set the table”, “[name_m]Tiberius[/name_m], do you take [name_f]Molly[/name_f] to be your wife?”

Thoughts? I am assuming these are more common in [name_m]Britain[/name_m]/Europe? Have never met any in [name_u]California[/name_u]. [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] alternatives to [name_m]Caden[/name_m]/[name_m]Braden[/name_m]/[name_u]Aiden[/name_u].

Bumping this.

I love regal sounding names. [name_m]Lucius[/name_m] is one that’s on my list. I adore [name_m]Swithun[/name_m], I just discovered it this morning before I saw your post while browsing through nameberry. I say go for whatever you like.

[name_f]Regal[/name_f] sounding is a good description. I’m not naming anyone, but I do like such names.
